I don't have much to offer in terms of help given that I am taking October's not August but I am literally SO mad on your behalf. The stupid calls WTF!!! And I bet if you hadn't picked up they would have been even worse about it. Just wanted to say you're pretty damn awesome for finishing the test anyway, I would have literally not been able to do anything but freak out after an interruption like that. You totally could have gotten a solid score - don't count that out and if not, October is redemption time!
^Yes all that is right. You get 60 seconds between each section, but you can start before that I suppose, I know I savored that minute haha. Format is yes like lawhub. Taking 7sage PT's in the "Standard" view is the most similar to lawhub so I like to do that to get used to it since I like using 7sage's PT platform better for analytics.
Your proctor will also quit all the applications you have open and kinda "take over" your computer for a minute during check in to make sure you won't get notifications and stuff. Then they will just be open in a chat box minimized thru the proctorU app if you have issues.
Good luck yo
Are we allowed to use pens or just pencils?
MAD respect for both of ya'll @ @. My mom finished an advanced degree when I was tiny and is just starting her MFA at 53 this year with the youngest of my sisters at home finishing high school. You guys are going to make your kids really proud and you are going to do great!
I'm doing the October one and wondering the same thing - does anyone have recommendations for the next month?
If you've been sticking with it for those crazy hours for so many months, you are going to kick this test's butt when it comes down to it. I admire you a ton for putting in that amount of work, and I'm guessing when it comes to the real thing you are going to do better than you thought - real test conditions tend to add that extra element of focus for many people, you just can't fully simulate that during a PT. Don't worry about a single one of the practice tests that came before you. Trust me, I've wanted to give up so many times. Studying is a rollercoaster, some days I whiz through practice questions, other days I feel so unmotivated and beaten by a particularly difficult LR or shitty PT that I want to just delete my LSAC account and give up. Something that helps me get through is remembering that there are going to be so many more exciting classes and assignments in law school than hordes of devilish LR questions. We just have to get through this stupid sludge to get there. Attack each question with fresh eyes, you can do it!!
I feel you, anxiety especially on LG where so many questions depend on a good setup are tough! One thing I'm sure you've realized is that the first question in each LG is usually an "acceptable scenario" question that you can almost definitely get right even if you don't set up anything at all - perhaps try just doing that one first based on the rules and ruling things out - I also get anxiety with these and sometimes the feeling of OK I got one down helps "crack" that freeze and helps me have more confidence going forward proceeding to the set up. If you're doing a full LG section on a preptest and encounter a game that is taking a long time to set up or is especially confusing, move to the next one and come back to it! Good luck, you're awesome and you can do it!
Dude I feel you - my scores have been having the EXACT trend - down to the exact scores honestly so I definitely have been bummed as well. However, I keep my head up because tbh this close to the test only positivity is gonna help us - sounds cheesy but true. Also, I keep in mind the fact that if I hit the 170's once I can do it again on test day under pressure when it's the real thing. And yeah if not - there's November and we can cancel our score :) Good luck!!
I'm sticking with full PT's for the stamina reason. I feel like the more questions I get exposed to before test day, the better. I did take one Flex-simulated PT just to see how it felt time-wise and mentally which was helpful to know though so I would suggest doing that if you want to feel out the format. Good luck!
Yeah I'm just gonna assume a question this terribly crafted is never going to appear again. Leaving my headache in 1998 and moving on.
Yeah, they ask you to "pick a location" - just pick the one closest to you, and you'll eventually just get the flex survey confirming your needs for accommodation if any on LSAC/email maybe. Don't worry, your test center will be that bedroom desk haha

For those of you who've taken November - are proctors still "checking" your equipment between sections?
Yooo my proctor did between my LG and LR...with like 5 secs left he was still controlling my mouse and I whimpered something like "Excuse me I have to take my test" LOL and he stopped. He was def planning to stop, I think they just do random checks I suppose so don't be freaked out by them.
Also. DON'T DRINK MUCH WATER BEFORE - just enough to be non-headachy. I won't go into much more detail than that. But don't ya'll!!!
Shoutout everyone else from Philly tho FLY EAGLES FLY (3(/p)
Yup! I took October with my charger within view for sure, just make the cable is nearby within arm's length where you can grab it without going off screen, maybe just next to your laptop, because your face is not allowed to leave the frame of the webcam (like if you had to bend down to grab it off the ground).
good luck!
Thank you so much @!!
Do we need to print out our admission ticket for the Flex? Assuming no since I no longer see it available in my LSAC account and it just said to bring an acceptable photo ID.
Also, do we see a webcam version of our face on the screen at all times?
No ticket needed correct?
RC - I like to switch colors depending on viewpoints - especially if author is arguing against someone's POV or hypothesis, it helps me stay clear on who thinks what.
LR - Minimal use, I use mainly for Argument Part questions or if I want to highlight a particular conclusion or premise.
This Saturday is my first time, but I'm taking the day before off, perhaps glancing over some notes I've made through studying if anything. For sure not taking PT - it's an exhausting thing to do for me, also in case I get a bad score on it it could psych me out for test day. Just my two cents.
Ooooooo man sneaky sneaky. At least I got a laugh from JY: "Very good, Chang, Chang has clearly been through our weakening curriculum."
