I do not want school that I applied to take my upcoming test into consideration, I do not want them to delay the response because of that. Will LSAC notify my school that I registered for a new test?

Thank you! @, great advise! Thank you very much!
Whats the general rule of thumb when it comes to being in school's median and gpa when it comes to acceptances and denials. No C&F issues. Just curious. Anxiety is killing me. Applied in September, still waiting on response.
@, yes I will do that.
Y'all convinced me that LSAT in January it is, no ED
I emailed LSAC about a month ago about it, this was their response:
Thank you for writing. This is to confirm the CTRL + F (Find) functions is permitted while taking the LSAT.
Any thoughts? I applied in September, schools median, GPA above median. They started reviewing my application 11/04/21, official review time for the school is between 8 and 12 weeks. I am super concerned because I have a feeling that no response for that long means I am essentially being waitlisted. This is very disappointing considering median's match and GPA being above, plus a pretty impressive resume. Share your stories, thoughts, ideas...
This is so awesome! 1000 points to karma! Thank you!!!
Thank you all for your input!
What are your thoughts on this? Do most of the applications getting accepted in the beginning or it does not matter?

I have listened to almost all of your podcasts, it is super helpful, but majority of them are oriented towards maximizing the score, so they are heavily oriented towards the top 10% of population of lsat takers. Even though JY manages to bring it back home to those of us who are aiming for 160, still I feel like maybe once in a while you can make a straight up podcast for people who need to learn how to skip questions they will not understand in the amount of time they have to prep for the test, how to manage study if you do not have 2 years to spend on it, how to arrange a personalized strategy for the test if your goal is 160. Stuff like that. Because there are a lot of very smart people here who are top of the crop, but the rest of the crop is silently watching too, so if I can speak on their behalf, I would love to hear more "average joe" tactics, who will never get minus 1 or 0 on any section in the amount of time they have to prepare for the lsat.
Dilemma, should I apply early decision with my 154 to a school with 160 median (my gpa is almost perfect, but im international so for admissions it will not matter at all from what I hear), or should I attempt to retake LSAT in January. Working full-time so I am not sure my progress will be super impressive.
This was a very useful podcast! Even though I am not a huge fan that there are almost never podcasts about tactics for simple mortals who would consider 160 a big accomplishment. But this podcast was fantastic and very helpful to an average joe like me haha=)

Dont be sad. This is life. Shit happens. Just don't let them make you in the wrongs, because you are not.
Stand by your words, stand by the facts, and do not bend to LSAC. They are clearly in the wrong choosing proctors to act on their behalf who are incompetent. If proctor told ypu are allowed to do something, it means that you take proctor instruction as instruction from LSAC. So don't get discouraged, and fight for your rights. I think LSAC needs to refund you the cost of the test. And if there are any implications of test termination you should not have them. I hate LSAC, im an international and they really screwed me over on my foreign diplomas, I hate monopolies PERIOD. I lost time, and you lost this test. But at least get your record clean and get your money back. You followed proctor instructions PERIOD. If they find fault on the proctor, they should take it up with him/her, but do not let yourself become a scape goat. I wish you good luck!
Admissions offices have to be crazy to assume you are only applying to their school. I just put other schools I am applying to in that box. Maybe somebody else does it differently, but I do not see a reason how this information can harm you. If you want to be super tactical about it, then just list few school of similar rating. This is just an opinion.
I am reading a lot of people are having their time wasted because of proctor issues. Any specific advises? I saw several good one - tell proctor to mute themselves and stop timer when they want to talk. Is proctor experience is that bad?
One thing I can tell you is that when you do your practice tests do not even choose (leave blank) those answers you are extremely uncomfortable about, like you have no idea why you chose this answer. This will give you the basics of what curve you are in and this is the score you can for sure count on. The rest might be luck, strategy, you name it.
This does not come from me, this is the tactics that JY recommended in one of the podcasts.
I hope that will help. Once you figure out your solid average the rest is playing with strategy and seeing how you can better you understanding of questions you do not understand.
You need to call the schools and ask them directly. Some schools will hold, others will proceed with current lsat if you specifically tell them to. Some will say applying before LSAT test will put you ahead of pile, some will say it does not matter because they will not even touch you app until your score released.
Call and ask. That is what I did and so happy that I did.
Same, they asked to cover it during my test and there were no issues at all
Thank you all! I will apply what you guys said in my practice, hopefully it will help.
You can listen to people's encouragements if this is your type of affirmation, or you can simply realize that everything in life you need to work for and nothing good EVER comes easy, give yourself some kick in the buttocks and plan how you will get from 139 to a score that will satisfy you, it does not have to be 170, it might as well be 151, but as long as you know what schools come with this score and how it will affect your life goal.
I do not know what is happening with my brain, maybe I am slow, but untimed all of the games are perfect. Timed is a disaster. I do not have enough time to make good inferences. How did you master thinking fast with the games? Practice only? Or are there any other tips?
Yes, LSAC confirmed that you can
This was their response to me few months ago:

I get it! I did the same thing and exactly for the same reasons, but then i switched back to question first lol. I am still trying to see what works best for me, so I appreciate your feedback!!!=)

Why are you so against reading question first?

@ I studied for around 1 year. I was scheduled to take it in November of 2020 after studying 6 months, but did not feel ready, so I pushed it back to June, which helped quite a bit.
Congratulations! I know there are a lot of people out there who are going for 170s (I applaud them), but for me personally 160 is a great score! Congratulations! Well deserved!
Thank you both for the advice! I am scoring average -11 so I am grateful for any tip! Does not help that english is my second language, but I have learned that if I understand the passage I can brut force the answers. If I do not understand the passage then I will be wasting time on the answers for sure.
What I found a great way of finding out what schools want is by calling them. Call them and ask if this will affect your application and if they think you should retake it. I found schools telling me to write addendums to certain things even though they do not spell it out on the website. I would call and ask their opinion.
How do you read the passage for RC? What is helpful for you?
Also what are some common traps you have found in RC answer choices?
Thank you!!!
Thank you!
