Pass on sitting for the test. Keep on prepping for December. Don't let this hiccup convince you to settle for anything less than your maximum potential. But make that voyage to Paris and make the most of it. Afterall, Paris is always a good idea :)

Taking an LSAT you're certain you're not 100% ready for, not so much!

7Sage has the best drilling materials by far, but if you're looking for a substitute in a pinch you can check out the Powerscore Drill By Type books.

Where on the 7sage site are the 7sage drilling resources? I tried looking and couldn't find them. I'll see what powerscore has to offer.

Your drilling materials are located under each lesson as "Problem Sets." Because you have the Starter course you won't have as many drilling problem sets as say the premium, ultimate, or ultimate +

I haven't taken the plunge and purchased yet. But I'm curious as to what the drilling sets consist of? Would they be grouped questions from early PTs? Sorry if this an extremely ignorant question haha.

@ got into Northwestern with significant scholarship money on a 2.9 GPA with a 170 LSAT. Top of her class going into 2L too. A killer LSAT score goes a long, long way.

Is that so?! Will if that isn't inspiring then I don't know what is! Thanks for that this morning :)

With an addendum and an LSAT score somewhat higher than their average, Dedman would surely consider.

Worry less and focus on providing them with an LSAT score that better demonstrates your abilities than a bad semester or two did.

Goood luck!

@ thank you! This is exactly what I planned to do. I also thought about having the stopwatch running just so there’s some sort of timing factor.

I highly recommend getting used to time with a stop watch first.

this is what I did for a long time and it helped me tremendously not only in my speed but also in getting over the clock pressure. It will always feel like there is a time pressure though, because there simply just is that pressure and you can't escape it on this test. But if you just practice and see how long you take on stuff, you will eventually come to realize that you can finish stuff in the time allotted and that you will be fine. Of course, assuming you have the fundamentals down and know your stuff!

Can you go into detail on how you used the stop watch? Per section or drill set or full PT? I find myself very intimidated and flustered by having jumped into "timed proctored" PTs. Thanks in advance :) !!

Great thread. I don't know any law students or potential law students outside of 7Sage, and a lot of people probably already know Nicole's story (she did a webinar on it if you want to know more), but her success story was always really inspiring for me. She had a 2.9 GPA from Princeton and felt like T14 was out of reach. She decided to apply to her dream school anyway--Northwestern--almost on a whim. Turned in her app literally on the last day and was accepted with a $90k scholarship. Finished 1L top of her class.

I've seen her mentioned before by, I don't recall if it was you or someone else! What a beautiful anecdote! Sounds like a law school unicorn to me :)

Yale Webinar

Did anyone else get an invitation to a YLS video webinar? Unfortunately I did not see the email invite until after the fact because it went to my spam folder (whyy would that happen?! It’s YLS!!)

But anyways, I’m curious as to what I missed out on.

Best!

Ugh, it was 95 here in Dallas today.

Anyone have any stories for URM with amazing LSATs and Low gpas i.e. splitters?

I don't have any stories except for last cycle a URM (forgot what kind of URM) got into Stanford with a 160 and a 3.4, it was a far reach indeed but it happened.

You can check lawschoolnumbers as well to just check around for URMs and their numbers.

http://lawschoolnumbers.com

Wow. Seriously?! If that's so, i can practically taste HYS!

Would it be extremely unattractive for admissions committees to see somewhat of a gap on your resume between undergrad and applying, due to studying for the LSAT full time? Or would the numbers speak for themselves?

The numbers will speak for themselves, so to speak.

Something important to note about admissions is that when it comes to numbers, they almost always trump any soft factors like work experience.

Thanks A! That's been my general understanding. Would you agree with @ 's comment about HYS?
