June 2017 LSAT- Low GPA

Hey All,

I will be taking the June 2017 LSAT. Currently, the materials I have are LSAT trainer + Bibles + PT 70-79 as well. I am currently finishing my masters and so December is super hectic for me. But I will begin studying January, which gives me a little over 5 months of studying. I plan on studying about 3 hours/6 days for 18 hours. I am stuck between 7sage and taking a class (BluePrint- A friend of mine loved the class and went from a 143 to a 167!). I do get test anxiety so being held accountable in a classroom setting is much more suitable for me at least. But I am still doing the Starter pack with 7sage and maybe upgrading to ultimate.

My goal is a 165-170. I took a pt and got a 151 timed. My UG GPA is sort of on the lower end :( (fooling around as an undergrad) it is a 3.5. My masters GPA is a 3.8 and I know they could care less about this grade or at least its not as important as undergrad. My dream school is George Washington U. and Northwestern ! :D So I am very prepared to start studying. Also, if you live in NY, in the city or lower westchester area, I'd love to study in barnes and noble or Starbucks! My plan is June 2017, However, It will come down to my average scores around the test date meaning I am open to taking the September one instead. We'll see.

LOW Diagnostic-Chances? HELP

Hey guys so I just took a Diagnostic (PT30) at a proctoring site and it was under real timed conditions and scored a 145 after taking 2 years off from the lsat. So brief history I took a FALL (Sep- Dec) blueprint course in NYC but at that time it was not suited for me. it was just too comical and very fast paced for me! But I decided to sit in on the Feb Lsat and I jokingly took it because I was naive and just wanted to get it over and done with and scored a 154 but again I didn't really study outside of the course. I would never blame Blueprint though for my low score- that was 10000% on my laziness.

Fast Forward to now, I plan on sitting in on either October 28th-December ( one of those dates). I have just began the CC at 7sage and feel great about the community and just overall understanding the fundamentals of it all seem so simple.Im actually looking forward to studying. Currently Im studying anywhere from 20-25 hours a week, taking weekly/ to bi-weekly PT's at the free proctoring sites and then doing the Blind Review, and just reviewing on my phone concepts from the 7sage app or Quizlet.

My top choices are {Boston U, Fordham, BC, Cornell- reaching, Georgetown} so I am aiming for 167-170s. I have a 3.6 GPA at UG, and 3.9 in Grad School (MA Program).

I know 20+ point jumps are like unheard of and mostly everyone says its impossible but given I have over 6 months of studying and when I say I'm treating it like my job- I AM! Strength is LG and RC with the blind review I average at -3/4 and weakness is LR & !

Is this realistic timing for my goal score? Any recommendation/ study tips.

I am using 7sage then reviewing the Trainer but since I started with 7sage, I want to learn the basics and use the trainer for any further clearing in LR. I have the Bibles as well although, LR really confused me which is what prompted me to 7sage. I am saving later PT's for after the CC course and doing drills with PT 20-40s. Also been using khan Academy articles and videos for RC. Do you think its possible timing wise? Anything else I should be doing.

Study partner (NYC)

Hey all,

I will be taking the JUNE 2017 LSAT and I have just recently began studying . I live in Yonkers, NY but work in the city on the upper west side. I would prefer coffee shops anything after 3pm but am flexible for earlier. I would prefer someone at my level. I took a PT and my diagnostic was 149 :(. I Also drive so I don't mind traveling if you're in westchester or even NJ. I am using the trainer, bibles + manhattan books too.

Hey I work in the city and I wish I could but this month I work those times and wouldnt be able to meet during the week. Im taking September exam! I have been thinking about taking the Manhattan protored exams but I thought they just give the same PT(s) every week. Do they use different Pt’s each week? because if so I’d be soo interested in building my stamina up as well!

I fell behind too had a rough weekend! But i have found a very BIG weak point from studying the CC & doing some PTs+BR. And thats WEAKEN questions& pretty much Except/unless questions. I legit spend like 5 mins on them and while its not a score increase or anything like that, i feel like its progress to notice small weak points with the LSAT plus i noticed a huge pattern in almost all of the PTs i have taken thus far. Anyways, this morning before work I managed to get in 1hr and will do another after work. Currently I'm doing 2hrs M/T/Th and 4hrs on W/F. Saturdays/Sundays I practice timed LG sections and review them slowly. I've just gotten to the point where I rather grasp wth Im doing then just counting hours per day if that makes sense. So although i only watch 4-5 videos per study sesh, I go in depth with typing notes (i print them then laminate them at the end of the week), reading comments of different ways people do a problem and it seems to be working well for me !

september Retake 2019

Hey guys so im retaking the lsat in September 2019. I scored pretty bad in the Feb 2018** test then took a year off because I just didnt feel good enough. But after much time off, I just feel like I could do so much better! I scored a 150 and honestly my problem is with LR ! If I was untimed which I know is of zero value, I get -3/4 but add time and boom -9/10 per LR section. For logic Games, Its actually my strongest section averaging about -2/3 per section. I am aiming for 168–170 because my top choice is Fordham Law School (3.8 gpa) and Boston College. Im studying about an 1-2 hours everyday sometimes more depending on work and schedule! Any tips? is it doable? I used blueprint last time, and it was a great course but very fast in my opinion. I am currently using the bibles, I like the question breakdown and details but I also have the trainer that ill be using as well. I have about 5.5 months. Also if anyone needs an accountability or online study partner, I’m so interested:) any tips/study suggestions are welcome?
