Hi guys, I’m currently studying for the LSAT while also working during the day. I was wondering if there’s anyone else in the same boat as me and is looking for a study group to do PTs every Saturday and review on Sunday, starting next weekend. I’m planning on taking the June LSAT.

For Q18, I also chose B initially. After reviewing, I think the "may" is just a hint in the passage leading to answer choice E. I think what Meyerson is contending is not actually whether or not applying the rules/law depends or is affected by any endorsing external considerations; instead, she's finding fault with the "external" part of those considerations. Saying that they may be viewed as "part of, not separate from" the rules of the game does not impact whether or not they depend on one another --they can have any relationship regardless of whether they're combined or apart. Instead, the difference is if they're considered EXTERNAL considerations or INTERNAL considerations. The sentence actually never refers to them as "external considerations", instead just points to them as "such considerations". But this distinction is important in leading to E because it addresses Meyerson's real contention, whether they're separate or integral, rather than answer choice B, which looks at the relationship between consideration and endorsement. The "may" is a cherry on the top that confirms the "matter of debate" part of the answer choice.
