Easier LR section then LG. the momentum and feeling of knowing you are in this test now helps when seeing those games as opposed to seeing it first and panicking

Yea, I have that same question as CrushLSAT. After taking it the last time I wouldnt want to take it again but if a school would take me because those scores were improved it would make sense to try taking it again. And also to push the question a bit more, if one hypothetically does super well (3.8GPA) from a 2nd tier law school, is that good enough reason to consider applying to a 1st tier/t-14 school as a transfer?

Law School Transfer

Hopefully it doesnt come to this and I get into the law school I want or one that I am satisfied with, but just out of curiosity too, what is the law school transfer process like? Do you apply with LSAT scores as well? New recommendations or the same old one will work? And what factor is considered the highest?

I recently read an article that said that the most transfer students were those going into Harvard Law School interestingly enough. Not saying I wanna go there but there might be better chances when transferring.

@ Wow, that is a very long time but the results you achieved are first class. I am in a similar boat and I honestly which my life circumstances allowed me to have that much time or a little less to devote to the LSAT. Being in NY and applying to NY schools, the only real chance of getting into a good law school and having the opportunities that will pay back loans comes first from how well I do on the LSAT.

@ How long were you studying and how many P-Tests did you go through before starting to reach that range of scores? and also which section would you say was your weakest? Just interested in the journey you took as that is the biggest jump I have seen.

Nice job. You already have a great place to work with because RC is seen as the hardest to improve in and LG the easiest. You have a great shot at bringing your score up a lot now. If you mind sharing, what do you think helped you most to get to that when approaching RC passages?

Logic Games was my area of the most struggle. Didnt know what to do with the facilitator stuff in that one game. If a full explanation of all the logic games is released soon that will be great. not sure how soon 7Sage people do that though.

Just got my first LSAT score.

So this was my 1st official LSAT and I already knew I would take it one more time. In the mean time I wanted to ask what do I do now? I know some of what to do but interested in what others have to say or maybe did after getting their first score, whether it was good enough for them or not.

Something that I recently learned about is the standard 509 report that every ABA approved law school releases every year. You can easily Google this and find the reports. They are available to everyone. I asked this same question to a Brooklyn Law School admissions counselor and also by looking at the reports, schools like Harvard, Columbia, Vanderbilt, etc. take people from other law schools that you would consider much lower ranked. I believe that because the 1st year of law school is so standard, if you can prove yourself to do well there by obtaining a high GPA, their consideration of you goes up a lot. Other things that probably make you look really good after your 1L is complete is making law review I'm sure. Of course many other people are thinking about this as well so competition is still high but it is a sort of back door that you can take to get into a better school for the last 2 years of law school.

The one caveat and big downside is that I believe transfers students really don't get much financial aid.
