This stimulus was so confusing when under time. So basically the arg conclusion is saying the major artists numbers are faked for the most part. D says yeah- because the minor artists got paid more in a competitive market and left things unsigned. Major artist fake signatures were added to increase the value of those paintings. That caused the Major artist's numbers to go up because most of them are faked.

Got it. yikes.

October LSAT Test Takers?

How is everyone feeling a few days out from this weekend? Personally, I'm highly freaking out and trying to tie up last minute loose ends, but also just accepting that I may need to retake in a couple months. Mostly, I'm just worried about the proctor being difficult or something going wrong during my exam. I heard a lot of issues occurred for the Sept test takers.

Any last minute tips/tricks?

NA questions are still tough for me.. I get the concept but in timed pt's, I have trouble on grasping the entire picture. Especially when translation is key.

Anyways, this question had some weird vocabulary that hurt my paraphrasing. Eschew- to deliberately avoid. Anglers- fisherman, not a separate type of fish. Lake trout's summer haunt- a haunt in old English is a place where a thing often visits because they enjoy going there. Fish- not the actual lake trout, but fish as in a verb. I.e"Going fishing". During Blind review, I looked up these definitions and was able to draw a diagram like JT. I still was drawn to AC:A, but then picked E: because if they're fishing near the surface, the author is assuming that the Lake trout hasn't moved back down to the bottom.

This would probably be a skipped question, pick A, and come back to diagram if I have time. Gonna have to throw this one to a No point question in real life. lol

In PTing, I chose D but was iffy on the "specific flights" wording. Still chose it because of time. In Blind review, I chose E but now I can see how it's wrong. I got hung up on the thorough vs. partial review wording in the stimulus. Author is saying "Opponents are wrong because their 1/20,000 Air Traffic Control reports stat is not as reliable ("Relatively unreliable") as my 1/2 Million stat." So, it's fine to build them closer. AC:E- the author doesn't say the tapes are inaccurate, just that they aren't as good.

But the fact that it's individual pilot flight reports vs. a third party review of tapes not related to flying brings the error to the surface. It's a biased stat. AC:B is right. Still, I think I tried to convince myself that it was too obvious of a AC.

You have a 20% chance of guessing a right answer if you run out of time and a 20% chance of gaining another. If you leave it blank you have a complete 0% chance of getting no points.

BUT say you leave 4 blank and you have 1 minute left on the section. Pick an escape answer choice and pick that for ALL of the questions. My go to is B on RC and C on LR. Pick 4 C's. Don't mix up your guesses unless you've already marked off wrong answer choices.

This question was such a TIME SUCK.. Yikes. I guessed first time hoping for the best. When I blind reviewed, I got it right... but it took me a few minutes to summarize each answer choice. This is where paraphrasing comes into play.

How I paraphrased in BR: Oil Prices were high and Gov wanted to go green, so many people switched to Gas heaters. Because switching meant paying for Gas heaters, it is unlikely people will switch back to Oil.

Okay-- so what would weaken this? AKA do something to make people go back to Oil. Gas prices would need to be more expensive than oil. and Gas Heater Equipment would need to be more expensive. Then Oil would make sense for people to switch back.

A: Gas prices= no change, Gas equip is cheaper. - this would strengthen. People will keep Gas heaters.

B: Oil prices=no change, Gas equip more expensive.- Ok. but oil prices are still high..

C: Gas equip cheaper, Oil prices=1970 cost - So gas is still better. in 1970 Oil was more expensive than gas

D: Oil Equip cheaper, Oil prices cheaper than Gas ding ding ding... matched my weakening prediction.

E: Use of Oil is dropping, Oil prices=1970 cost. - So? we were told use was dropping, and oil prices still expensive. does nothing but maybe strengthen or at least support.

Confirm action

Are you sure?
