Section score vs PT score

Hey all, I've pivoted to drilling individual sections of practice tests and noticed that my splits are almost always better when I take sections separately compared to when I take them all at once (for example, taking all four sections of a PT one at a time, at different times might total -15, whereas taking them all at once to simulate a real LSAT might total -20). When combined, these section scores are better than my typical PT score; I'm obviously capable to getting the questions right, so I was wondering if it was a stamina issue/mental hangup, and how I'd go about fixing it?

Paralegal rejection

Never really posted before so here goes nothing. I interviewed for a spot in a big firm's paralegal program the other day. Took 20 minutes, went so-so, but less than 4 hours later I got a rejection email. I'm not too broken up about the rejection but it seems ridiculously fast considering I only got off the phone with them and definitely wounded my pride a bit. Should I read into the speedy rejection too much, or am I just doing my typical type-a overthinking?

Take practice sections untimed. That is how you learn the theory and recognize logical patterns in questions.

Have I hit a wall?

I’m trying to study for the June LSAT (the last one with logic games) and I don’t know why, but my last two practice tests have been awful. A couple of weeks ago I was scoring decently and showing improvement, but I couldn’t even finish the last couple of tests. Yesterday I got so overwhelmed halfway through the first section that I threw in the towel, and today I made it through 3 sections but quit because I was literally shaking and couldn’t string two thoughts together. This has never happened before with any of the half-dozen practice tests I've done, so I was hoping that someone knew what was going on? Two weeks ago I was fine, but now I feel like my brain is moving at half its normal pace and the easiest logic/reasoning is beyond me.

Kicked from virtual exam room eight (8) times

Hey all,

I was kicked out of the virtual exam room eight (8) times during the exam, twice during each section, at roughly 15-20 minute intervals. After the eighth time, the Prometric system said that if I 'abandoned' the test again, I wouldn't be allowed to rejoin and finish it. As a result, I had to rush through the final section and guess on half of the questions just to guarantee that I finished before getting kicked again. I have no idea why it happened. It could have been connectivity issues, but I work from home twice a week with no issues and even upgraded my home internet to 5G before the test specifically for this reason. Regardless of the cause, I was kicked out of the test midsection, forced to rejoin the test, and go through the security/screening process 8 times, which obviously wasn't ideal for doing well.

It's a long shot, but do you know if I have any options regarding whether I can get this test expunged, retake it, or even take the issue up with LSAC or Prometric? I'm not hopeful of anything, but I'd appreciate any help or advice you all could have.

Just took the June LSAT

Just took the June 2025 LSAT and generally think it went okay, but at the end of the day I'm not sure. For those of you with experience, does your 'vibe' or feeling about how you did usually line up with your actual score?

Got a tutor and my score is going down

Hey all,

I realized a little while ago that I needed help studying and got a tutor (planning to take the June 2024 test). I thought it was going well, but I took my first practice test in a while and got a 153 (my lowest score since my diagnostic test, and way below my average of 160). Is this a normal thing when starting tutoring? I get that I'm relearning how to take the test and knew there would be bumps in the road, but I'm kind of worried about it. I ended up getting questions wrong that I was 99% sure I got right, and thought I was using everything I learned in tutoring. I still have a month and plenty of sessions before the test, but I just wanted to see if anyone else had this experience and if it's a normal thing.

Putting it all together

Taking the June 2024 LSAT and I've put up some pretty good scores on each section. I've hit -1 on LG, -2 on RC, and -5 on LR. The only problem is that I've never come remotely close to doing all of that on the same test (for example, when I got a -5 on LR, I got my worst ever score on RC; the very next practice test THE NEXT DAY, I got a -2 on RC and put up my worst ever LR score). I'm done with practice tests before test day, but does anyone have any tips on what I can do to brush up and prevent splitting so dramatically?
