I'm so glad this topic was brought up!!

I am Filipino, with both part-Spanish parents and thus, have also been struggling through the same issue. I found it very disappointing to learn that very few applications allows an applicant to indicate "Filipino" as one's ethnicity, and only some even allow multiple boxes to be checked off. Due to this, I have been conflicted with choosing between Filipino, Asian, Hispanic, or Pacific Islander for my ethnicity when in reality, I find myself identifying with all of them.

I actually brought my concern to an Assistant Director of Admissions for a law school and she advised me that it was perfectly fine to indicate multiple ethnicities for my application, and that doing so would not at all raise any eyebrows. With that being said, I plan on indicating every ethnicity I identify with and elaborating on why one box is just not enough in my diversity statement.

Yes, the schools will know if you are registered for a future LSAT date. Definitely don't exclude that fact from your application. However, from my experience most of them still want you to shoot them an email just to remind them that you are waiting for a future score. Some will even email you to ask whether or not you would like for them to hold your application until they receive that later score. If you ask me, however, I would not wait for them to email you. Take initiative and email them soon after sending your application about your intent to take the Dec exam and whether or not you would like for them to wait to evaluate your application.

I've honestly been going through the same slump @. It definitely did not help learning about all the schools that are now taking GRE scores when I've spent years devoting my life to the LSAT =(. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I know how difficult it is to not be able to fully unload your stresses to those who aren't going through the LSAT process, but never be wary about sharing it here! I'm sure others, like myself, are glad to know that they are not alone in this.

P.S. I'm sure those scores are not fluke and kicking LSAT butt is in your future!
