I took my writing sample about 3.5 weeks after I took my test and I still got my score on time. It never expires, but you have to take it if you want your LSAT score back.
I had unlimited pens when I took the August LSAT. I just showed the proctor my handful of different colored pens. However, you can only use 5 sheets of paper and you have to rip it up at the end of the test in front of the proctor.
I took the LSAT in August. Yes there is timer in the corner of the test and it goes off once you have 5 minutes left. Go on LAWHub on the Lsac website and you can take practice test in the exact format they administer the test. You can have water with you. I had a bottle of water, pens, 5 pieces of scratch paper (you can only have 5), my computer, my charger, and my driver's license in the room with me. I am not sure about gum. You will need to check the LSAC website under test day questions to find out. You can always call LSAC with any questions you have. They are very nice and have been helpful.
I took the LSAT in August and now I am taking it again in October. I am trying to focus on my stamina (I felt so mentally exhausted the first time I took it) I am taking more practice test and reviewing them in great detail. I improved on my reading comprehension and now just focusing on my weakest area (logical reasoning) I already have the basic concepts down now I am just focusing on making sure my way of thinking has shifted to understand the questions and logic behind them.
I spoke to LSAC and they said to look out for an email next week!
The powerscore book for reading comp really helped me. It gave me drills and in depth tools for what to look out for and notice. I went from -12 to -5 and now I have been practicing and hardly getting any wrong.
Here is an example, it is old but it is a good sample: https://sites.owu.edu/writingcenter/wp-content/uploads/sites/92/2012/07/LSAT-Writing-Guidelines.pdf
I took the LSAT writing in August. There are samples online you can practice as well as on LAWHUB and LSAC. Honestly, I did not prepare much. I just did a practice one a few days before the test and reviewed some samples on google. Basically, the prompt will be two options and you have to argue for one of the options using the information they give you. It is fairly straightforward and the only thing to review is how to structure the argument and the organization. If you look at a few sample answers and do a practice, you should be fine.
Same here I would love to review especially Reading Comp.
Powerscore Reading Comp really helped me improve my score from -15 and my best on my recent PTs are -5. It will help you lookout for what it asked often and give you strategies on how to approach the questions and a reading strategy. I still struggle the most with the comparison passages but it helped me improve my RC score fast.
I am taking it In August as well. Would love to join
Taking the LSAT on Sunday! I needed this! Thank you and good luck :)
The powerscore Reading Comprehension book helped me the most. It helps change your thinking when it comes to what to look for when reading. Then it came down to continuous practice. I would just do a few passages a day. My score went from -11 to -5 on reading comprehension.
