One way I like to think about the difference in approaching necessary assumption questions versus sufficient assumption questions is the idea that both types of answer choices will be premises, but the premises are of a different sort. On one hand, necessary assumption answer choices are going to be premises that must be present in order for the conclusion to follow properly (NA - conclusion based). On the other hand, sufficient assumption answer choices are going to be premises that allow the argument to be valid in comparison to its conclusion (SA - argument based).

This video helped me so much with getting into the right mindset as I re-start studying for my second official LSAT. I hit a major wall after getting my score back almost 10 points below what I was anticipating, but know that I am capable of doing better on this test. After deciding to re-learn the fundamentals as if I had not taken the course before, I am already feeling like I am on a better track for the August exam than I was after studying 9 months for the April exam. For anyone reading this comment and going through this course the first time, the fundamentals really are essential for mastering your LR and inherently your RC on this exam. Without them, you will be lost at level 3 difficulty or higher questions because you will not fully understand how to analyze the convoluted logic that is being given to you for analyzation. Thank you for the inspiration!
