I'm taking the Dec test, and I guess I want to see if it's really just me.

Word of advice: Don't look too much into your PT scores this close to the actual test. If you've already been performing in-range for your target score, it might be beneficial to not even score your remaining PTs at all. This late in the game, your PT scores can only give you paranoia. If you want to take PTs to stay fresh, great. But don't allow them to shake your confidence.

At this point in your prep, your confidence is as important as the skills you've acquired through months of preparation. You must go into this test with an unshakable resolve and conviction that you are going to own it. Focus on the lessons/take-aways from the PTs, but don't over-analyze the score. You have already earned your score, now go and get it.

I would suggest taking a slow, steady approach to studying. Track your results but don't rush the process.

*IF* you are within range for 170+ by December, go for it. Worse case scenario, you have the experience of a real LSAT in your pocket for the June test. Best case scenario, you break the 170 mark and can move on with your life.

Has anyone who has been able to bring their score up from the 164/165 range to the 171/173 range comment on the difficulty/amount of time/strategies it took for you to get there?

Hi Splitter,

I started studying in January of this year. I went through the 7sage curriculum in 6-weeks and then began taking timed Prep Tests. Within 2-3 weeks after the curriculum I was consistently hitting in the 170 range. That took about 9-weeks total. I don't think I am representative, but it can be done. You are already pretty close but I would want more info about what sections you're struggling with to give you more targeted advice. Here was my schedule after the curriculum phase:

After I completed the curriculum I studied 6-days a week. I took 3 prep tests a week and blind-reviewed on the days in-between prep tests. After blind reviewing, if I saw a specific sort of question type I was struggling with, I would watch the 7sage curriculum videos for it, and work a few problem sets for it.

Before I took my prep tests I would glance over my previous PTs for a few minutes, just trying to remember what lessons/take-aways I had discovered from my review. I did this up to when I took my exam in June. My PTs stayed in the 171-175 range fairly consistently (I took upwards of 45 total).

Forgot the why: It's the lowest ranked school I applied to and they accepted me within a matter of days.

I hyped myself up by blasting some Hans Zimmer soundtracks.

I notice you are taking the exam and BRing the same day. Personally, I liked to wait until the next day. This helped me review the questions from a more neutral perspective and gave my brain some rest.

If I'm not mistaken, PT75 was the actual LSAT I took. The games threw me off a bit, but otherwise it didn't seem particularly difficult.

I wrote a one-page DS for all schools. It worked well.

My question is, is there any benefit to taking the June test over the October test?

I faced this exact decision. I picked June over October because I felt that the longer I dragged on my study period, the more I risked burn-out. That was a personal decision and you may not have that consideration, but for me, it was the right choice.

CCN: Columbia, Chicago, NYU. They are the three highest ranked schools outside of HYS.

@ my PS was the same, no mention of why law/law school. I focused instead, on highlighting my story and what sets me apart from other applicants, namely my background.

@ Do you mind me asking if you used a consultant or anything?

I didn't use any consultants (couldn't afford any). I did share my essays with a few of my close friends. They gave me feedback and worked as my sounding board.

@ I'm about to start a six-month study journey too, what would you recommend I do in terms of scheduling? I'm not quite sure where to start, and I'd love to ask about which books you used as well

I didn't have any books; just 7Sage and +50 practice tests. I took my time working through the complete 7Sage curriculum and, upon completion, worked through 3 practice tests a week. I would blind review my PTs on days in-between completing them. On my blind review days I would also return to the 7Sage curriculum if there was anything specific I wanted to review because I still hadn't mastered it. Good luck!

Harvard Law -- Thanks 7Sage!

I was admitted to Harvard today. Just wanted to thank 7Sage for the wonderful work they're doing here! I come from a working class family and would not have been able to afford LSAT prep, much less one as great as this, without 7Sage.

To my fellow 7Sagers: Hard work pays off. Keep studying!

Cheers!

172: Thanks 7Sage!

Just wanted to thank the whole 7Sage team for helping me obtain my goal. Your course and a ton of prep tests were the only thing I used. I am really grateful that you guys put such a great product on the market at a price that I could actually afford! Cheers!
