I have received my LSAT score but due to technical difficulties I'm unable to complete LSAT writing section for 5 days. Do you think I should submit applications in the meantime?
Is this standard practice? I am writing a LOCI to School A and was wondering if I should include any info on other acceptances, or should I skip entirely?
Schools A and B are in the same city. School B is ranked slightly worse. I applied ED to school A.
I have received it. My application says "completed" on the online portal, however Georgetown doesn't subsequently change the online status after a decision is rendered.
I haven't received a ding/waitlist email yet - so I'm just nervous that a letter may have gotten lost in the mail.
It seems weird that they would guarantee a response in 4 weeks and then take 6+ to respond. Maybe that's normal though.
Is it possible to check the status of an application other than waiting for a piece of mail?
I applied 6 weeks ago early decision. They guarantee response in 4 weeks, but I haven't yet heard from them. I live in a NYC apartment, so there's a that a piece of mail got lost. Wondering at what point I should take next steps (for example, calling admissions office?)
Got it - what did you mean by this exactly: "They confirmed that they are processing all the applications received during the holiday season (during Christmas and New Year I presume)." ?
Yes - it says that my application is complete, and it was flipped to that status shortly after I submitted. so I would still have expected a decision by now if not for the holiday break.
Did you email Gtown admissions, or a different school?
I applied to Georgetown early decision on ~December 1st. On their website they guarantee a 4 week turn-around time on all early decision applications, but I haven't yet received word from them. I am assuming this is due to their office being closed during the holidays. However, I am also slightly concerned I missed a piece of physical mail due to living in a NYC apartment building. Would it be obnoxious to reach out to the admissions department?
How do folks know which schools to provide an optional addendum stating why X? I was reading that it is important for a few, and that on the other hand.. a few schools dislike receiving them. Yet most schools don't indicate which camp they fall into.
This seems unnecessarily non-obvious :) is there a consolidated list of schools that prefer the addendum?
Thank you!
