You could write them a letter of continued interest. Most law schools admit students up until the very first day of classes.

Third Test?

Hi all,

i took the June 2024 LSAT and got the EXACT SAME score as my previous January one, a 157. I was REALLY hoping for a 165+ and feel so discouraged and upset. My UGPA was only a 3.81 so it's also not optimal. I'm now debating a third and final test, but I don't know how that will look on applications. I don't have fellowships or anything, but I do have a gap year full of amazing experiences. I think some law schools only take the highest score, some average, but do they see how many times I had to take it? I don't want to hurt my chances any more than I already have. any advice is strongly appreciated. I'm truly so lost and upset I can't stop crying.

WV Study Buddy!

Anyone near the Charleston area willing to study together? I find I focus more when I'm with someone else studying together and none of my friends can help me.

Yes same here. It was really hard to understand the proctor with her accent, and on top of that there were people in the back talking very loud, making it even harder to understand.

The proctor also distracted me by sending me a msg in the chat that "I can't talk out loud" while I was on LG section. I didn't think I was talking loud at all, but it made me so nervous that I lost some time trying to recover from it.

I called the LSAC help line and they were able to tell me there was no mark on my profile to review the test or anything that could cause an invalidating score! Try to call them for sure but if they proctor claimed you were speaking out loud it may flag your test. Flag doesn't automatically mean invalidate from what I was explained, just the score may take longer to get.

Im just realizing my test score may be invalidated. My proctor doing my environment check had a THICK accent and spoke fast even when I asked her to slow down. I swear she said show me the four corners of your roof and now im realizing it was probably room. I fr showed this woman the 4 corners of my ceiling and waited for her to ask to see the rest of the room and she never did she just said okay 😭

I had 2 LR sections the first was DEF harder. Don't feel great about it or the second logic game. RC was pretty great for me and only worried about the second passage. Overall feel I need another go at it but for my first one it wasn't horrible.

How To Decide to Keep or Discard Scores

I take my first LSAT in about an hour and don't feel great about it. I am still consistently -10 or worse on the logic games section, and roughly -5 on LR. My RC is fine, within a -3. I've seen that some law schools do average test scores between all the LSATs you take and some do not. I also know with score preview you can choose to discard the score. That makes it feel like a glorified diagnostic test to me, but I'm really not confident in my score. How do you decide to discard a score or keep it?

I pushed my applications back to take a gap year because my scores are not where I want them and neither are finances. I think that each cycle is dynamic and with changes in requirements, testing, and the admissions process it's better to see how this cycle plays out and adapts.
