Hi, just wondering some thoughts on what the most effective study method is for most. Do I just go down through the syllabus in the order that it shows, or do I continue to stay in a section I am currently in (MSS for LR) retaking the drills until I start getting 100% on all the questions, and start to answer them with the targeted time? #help

Hi, I am in an almost identical situation, looking at the poll it shows 50/50, so now I am curious what you ended up doing? Or if anyone else has more guidance on this? I have a really high GPA, over 3.9, but very low LSAT that I took last January (background: I was in the middle of finals of my senior year undergrad, and also had absolutely no resourceful people to try and discuss this with or help assist me in properly preparing for this type of test) so I am wondering what I should do?
Had all the logic written out and everything lined up the same way as JY, but forgot to negate "or" causing me to get it incorrect :/
I am in the same boat, would love to hear some feedback on what I should do! My goal score is a little lower, around 165 or so.
I was wondering when implementing drills into your studying how you guys do it? Should I be trying to drill a specific type of question (i.e like MSS in LR, SA in LR, or Grouping in LG, etc) and don't move on to another question type until you get 100% timed? Or do you move on once you get 100% BR?
Or are there any other strategies that help you guys more?
Hello, I am still in the middle of the CC and looking to take my LSAT prior to Aug 2024. With that being said, I just finished the CC on LR. Should I start taking some sections of LR to see where I am specifically weak and then to master this section before moving on, or should I just move on through to LG now?
Seems to be that I am getting the most points off because of my lack of good timing. Does anyone have recommendations on how I can improve this? I want to take the LSAT in June before LG is gone, being that LG is my best section.
I have taken the LSAT once in June 2023 with a very bad score and very minimal preparation, but I am planning on taking the LSAT again in Jan of 2024 after excessive studying. With this, will I be able to get into law school starting in Fall 2024?
#help I took this as a conditional problem and wrote out the logic:
inc during school yr → sot (students out of town)
------------------------------------------------------------------
pc (parking citations) ‑m→ s (students)
When doing this problem, I eliminated answer choices B and D solely because they had "more": and not "most" within them since more does not necessarily imply most. I also eliminated C b/c it had "most" twice and the stimulus only has most in the conclusion...and then was torn between A and E and chose the correct answer, E. I was just wondering if this reasoning was okay to go about getting the right answer?
I feel like every answer choice here was bad, some worst than others, though. All of them are making assumptions but I feel A and E make the same "leap" in their assumptions
As I mentioned in a previous comment, I feel A is taking solely into account the land and animal costs rather than the cost of food, vaccines, health-related issues, legality issues (licensing etc) with farming both cattle and ostriches.
This question just annoyed me lol
#feedback There is a slight spelling mistake in this section that is highlighted: “bread that doesn’t have a first crust must not have been baked at the right temperature.” I believe it should say "firm" not "first"
I would love to hear others input on this too! I mainly have and use the LSAT Trainer and 7Sage (also open to any other resources others have found to be super helpful too)!
My parents are getting on me for the same thing, so you're not alone! I totally know the stress and pressure involved from parents while also not feeling ready/prepared enough to take it. If you end up taking the Feb and score poorly it wouldn't do you any good except showing you need more time to study anyways :/.
I talked to a successful student currently enrolled at a law school I am deeply considering and they told me "you want to make your admission applications the absolute best representation of you". So, if you do not feel your score would honestly reflect yourself and/or your abilities as a law student, then I recommend waiting on the exam and study more! I hope this helps :)
I am in a very very, similar situation, I would also love to hear some feedback on this!
@-3-1 Thank you so much for this great advice!
@-3-1 did you finish the cc before you started taking PTs? I am in the same boat as @ , and I feel like I can't get through the cc fast at all or that I am taking way too long...legit same scenario where the lesson says it should be like 12mins and I'm taking like 40mins :/ Do you recommend taking a PT or just keep going through the core? I'm open to recommendations! I was going in order, and I am still not even through the LR section yet
When JY explained this question and I noticed I missed so many parts in it, clearly showing how B was correct; "residents cutting back on ac usage", and "results" stating that it was not something else causing the blackouts, but that the blackouts were caused by ac usage - I definitely used my subconscious when answering this :(
So i get correct the hardest questions on BR, but none of the easier ones smh
Hi! I believe most have said that LG is the most learnable section, so I would try for June and August both - I am not currently aiming for as high of a score as you though, so others in similar situations might have more to say about what course of action you should take
Sidenote, I just had a quick question regarding your -1 for RC. Personally, my struggles have been in RC (getting many of these questions incorrect, but I also have not studied this section too much yet, or know about the best way to study for this section). Seeing you are very successful in this section, do you have any recommendations on how I can improve my RC? Any study tips? Drill types? Readings, etc ? Anything you recommend I would greatly appreciate!
Does anyone have a good explanation for this question? I picked B, and there is no explanation video for this question.
if you get the answer correct, is anyone watching the explanation videos, or just moving onto the next questions? #help #feedback
Just to make sure I'm notating correctly for myself these questions...are we saying that the more assumptions we need to make, the less likely that is the correct answer; i.e you want the least amount of assumptions in the correct answer?
Really thought the correct answer was C for the same reasoning that others had, being that if there were other materials in the air bubbles, they too could have been the cause of the increased algae and not just the ferrous material. So here I assumed it could have been caused by something other than just the FM, but it is safer to say that if there was no increase in the "remnants" of the algae, then there could not have been an increase in them caused by FM from the last Ice Age? In this question I think I was more so looking for the causal relationship between the FM (or other material to weaken the question) and the increase in algae

PTC S3 Q20
Does someone have a good explanation as to why this answer is E? There is not an explanation video on this question, and I got this question wrong #help
Admin Note: Edited title. For LR questions, please use the format: "PT#.S#.Q# - brief description of the question."

Under "Lesson to Review" there is the lesson "Fact v. Belief v. Knowledge" - I try clicking on this lesson since I just switched to v2 of CC, and it says page not found...I was wondering if I could have some assistance with this? Because I am unfamiliar with the Fact, Belief, and Knowledge lesson I would like to go over it
So are we assuming that b/c diatoms died near the Antarctic floor (the algae that feed on carbon dioxide) and b/c there was no increase in their shells means that there was therefore no increase in diatoms which shows that it could not have been the diatoms that were increased in the atmospheric dust and thus not the cause of the small amounts of carbon dioxide
Hi, how often are you guys taking PTs? I am still going through the core curriculum syllabus and have started my studying the end of June this year 2023, and try my best to study throughout the work week. Wondering some thoughts on whether I should be incorporating some PTs weekly even though I am not finished with the core? Any and all thoughts please!
Thank you so much all, I have been feeling burnout a bit and seem to be decreasing in the amount of qtns I get correct, so these ideas help a bunch!
@-legally-brunette when you drill until 100%, is that BR 100%, or timed? or untimed?
Hi,
I have went through the cc of 7sage a little bit ago, and are moving into the LG section of the cc. However, as many have recommended, I have been trying to incorporate LR drills while going through the LG section of cc. I have been trying to do drills in LR specifically focusing on question types but seem to still be getting a lot wrong even with BR. In addition, I have purchased the Loophole since many said the supplemental material helps a lot. I was just wondering on anyone's recommendations on how to study? (I can dedicate a majority of my time studying since I only work PT as well). (I also have not touched RC at all in cc yet) Should I work through the Loophole before continuing anymore drills on 7sage? Should I still try to go through LR and LG at the same time, or how should I work through both most effectively? Any and all advice much appreciated!!!
To increase and better my time on questions for studying and for this test, many have recommended reading. Is there anything specific, and types of reading that will specifically aid me in increasing my time to meet the target time?
What do they mean by latter more? Or is that more irrelevant than anything for this question ? #help
so assumption was that dairy has other proponents in it that could potentially increase or be correlated to good health
Love this post so much - thank you for the tips and words! Especially when everyone's situation may be different, and we don't know who needs to hear this on any given day, it makes all that more effective
