Can I take the LSAT online and the writing in person, or vice versa?
Or do they both have to be take either online or in-person?

@ You can find the writing sample component of the PrepTests at the very end of each PrepTest in PDF format. Please note that the LSAC stopped including the writing topics in published PrepTests starting with PrepTest 87. However, all other PrepTests starting from 1 to 86 have writing samples.
Let me know if you any further questions!
Thank you for the response. Is there an example of someone's work so that we can see what a decent, or better, response looks like to each prompt?
I only see a handful of practice prompts for the writing on 7sage. Shouldn't there be one writing prompt for each LSAT?
I have only taken a few PTs. I only have two weeks before my LSAT (I know, I am cramming and it is not ideal at all). Should I take the newest PTs then BR them? I would assume that it won't do me much good to take the oldest ones?
Realistically, I will probably only be able to get through 3-5 PTs between now and then.
I took my PT. Then the next day I BR'd it and then I fool proofed the logic games until I got them all correct and at a decent time.
Is reviewing your PT a multi-day task?

Jacob,
I started at a -12 per RC section, and I now score in the -3 to -5 range, so I am by no means perfect and others might disagree, but I'd highly advise against only focusing on three passages. This method trains you to guess on around 1/4 of the questions, which isn't good by itself, but on top of that, you might not get every question right on the three passages you focus on either. Assuming the best case scenario (you get all questions correct on the three passages you focus on, and guess on the last one and get 20-40 percent right, this still leaves you at a ceiling of -6 to -5. Why cap your ceiling when you instead can train for a sub -6 and get it more reliably?
I would focus on doing sections in which you do 4 passages to completion, and lower the time once you start being able to finish quicker, eventually getting to 35 minutes for 4 passages.
That makes sense. My issue is not being a fast reader, over-analyzing things on technicalities, and being scheduled for the Oct 16 LSAT haha. So yeah, I don't think there is enough time for me to improve my reading speed/comprehension to the point where I can comfortably do all 4 passages and questions.
I assume it can't be the case 100% of the time, but as a rule of thumb, are the harder questions toward the end of each section?
For example, if I take a LSAT, can I anticipate that for LG the first two games will probably be easier than the last two games? And for RC, the first two passages will probably be easier than the last one/two?
This is good to know if you know you are going to struggle with timing and will need to triage to try to save the hardest for last.
On 7S you can find explanations pretty fast for BR. Is it the same for taking PT's on LSAC?
I will be taking the online version so it would be great to practice with the actual test interface I will see on test day.

Would you mind sharing your score? I'm just trying to see if you were able to skim and still do decently. If not, no worries!
I've started taking practice tests recently. I'm not a super fast reader so I have only been able to complete three of the four passages and their questions so far.
Do you focus on completing all of them? Or do you just accept that you won't be able to get through it all and just focus on getting the highest accuracy on 3 of them?
If I don't get around to answering all the questions, I just pick a letter of the day for the unanswered questions.
I have been reviewing LGs and I am over thinking this I think...
You know how sometimes we split out game boards and make as many inferences at the beginning as we can?
When CAN you use those boards to answer questions, and when can you NOT use them (i.e., you would need to draw a new board)?
I am confused b/c sometimes I split out game boards, and the question reads something like "If J is in 4 then where must H be?", so then I look through my boards and find one where J is in 4 to see where H must go. But then sometimes I get those wrong... Because I did not create a new game board for the question...
Say I were to receive a time extensions for an ADHD diagnosis. Would this accommodation be show to all the places I applied to?
I am planning on taking my LSAT between October 12 and 16. Which means my score will be released as early as Nov. 1 (assuming I completed my writing section in advance). You can take the Writing portion up to 8 days prior to your scheduled LSAT date, or you can take it AFTER the LSAT. However, it takes 1-3 weeks for LSAC to attach your writing to your application. Therefore, completing the writing section after your LSAT can delay your test results by as much as 2 weeks (assuming you took 2 weeks to study for the writing section after the LSAT).
I think it makes more sense to complete the writing section after the LSAT so that it does not cut down on my time used to prepare for the LSAT. I feel super rushed and did not prepare far enough in advance, so I think this is a better option for me.
Any other thoughts?
Would it not make sense to include this as its own section?

Hi @
You can view all your completed Drills by going to the Drills tab and tapping on "Show Existing Drills". Just search for the Drill that you took, and under the Results column, tap on "Review" to view your results for this specific attempt. See the GIF below:

Please note that the results under the explanation videos will show your results from your first attempt.
Please let me know if you have any further questions.
Hi Cherry,
Thanks for the reply. The last moment in your video shows the screen I am referencing. I have no issue finding the results for my first attempt, but if I took it more than once, am I unable to view my results for each attempt? It looks like that is what the arrows are for but they seemingly do nothing.
When solving, "Sequencing Game w/a Twist Problem Set 2," for example, I ended up solving these games multiple times. When I click view results, immediately after testing myself, it will show me the results that I just got. But when I exit out and come back and press view results, it shows me the results for my first attempt. Further, it will not allow me to page forward or backward with the arrows to look at the results for each of my other attempts.
I'm pretty sure I got this working correctly once. But not sure how...
Nice to see the site is still alive and monitored! Glad to see people being rewarded for helping out :)
On the LSAT, there can be 4 logic games. There are 4 general categories of logic games: Sequencing, Grouping, In-Out, and Miscellaneous.
Is it safe to assume there will be one game from each of these categories on the LSAT? Or could it be the case that you might have 2 sequencing games, 1 Grouping, 1 In-Out, 0 misc.? or something like that
So as it turns out, I wrote a reply, 7Sage did not recognize the way I wrote a Some Arrow and just turned all of those instances into blank space. The moment I submitted my reply the tab failed to load. I got it back after about 2 mins. Only then did I realize that the Some Arrows were removed. So I tried to run through and edit it with less than 3 mins. I was not able to.
Then I realized my entire reply was incorrect from the start. Really it should be deleted so it does not waste peoples' time or mislead them.
So not only can I not edit it, I can not delete it either? And this website has been around like 10+ years?... There are a number of very easy/trivial things that should have been fixed years ago.
If someone has the ability to remove my trash reply, it is here: https://classic.7sage.com/lesson/advanced-valid-forms-review/ then select Most Likes, scroll down to "2ndTimestheCharm"'s comment, I am the 3rd reply.
I fool proof my games before I move on. I'm just worried that as time goes on I'll forget part of them and they will no longer be fool-proofed.
I fool-proofed some of the games, and I know I can go 24 hours and still keep them fool-proofed. But how long should I wait before I practice them again to ensure they stay fool-proofed?
I know some of you are probably like, "are you serious..." (lol).
I like spaced repetition though I have no idea how long I should space them out for... kinda freaking me out atm hahah.
Any advice? :D

Hey @, thanks for sharing your concerns with us. We totally get how frustrating it can be when the space bar acts all wonky with multiple videos on a page. We're really sorry for any trouble this has caused.
Your feedback means a lot to us, and your suggestion is super valuable. I'll definitely pass it along to our production team for some serious consideration.
If you have any other feedback or ideas, don't hesitate to share. We're all ears!
Thank you for the reply. I think why it is so frustrating is that you have to pause/unpause videos frequently to take notes and follow along step-by-step, etc. so when you try to pause to quickly write something down and another video starts playing you:
get confused
have to figure out it's another video on the page that's playing
press space again to reverse the action
then click on the video to actually pause w/o any other problems
the click to pause the video cannot be on the side of the video; otherwise it does nothing. You MUST click near the center of the video to pause.
Try to remember where you were and not loose your train of thought.
Repeat this 7 million times a day when doing pages w/ multiple videos b/c the behavior is subconscious and therefore hard to retrain.
There are a lot of steps involved that can really detract from the learning process due to this simple malfunction.
(My point in this reply is somewhat redundant... so another reply is not obligated. I was just trying to further explain WHY it can be so frustrating).
The link at the top of the page no longer works.

Hey @, so sorry about that!
If there are 2-3 videos on a page like the Explanation Video, All Sub-Game Boards video, or a Commentary video, hitting the space bar might make all of them start playing at the same time. That can be a bit overwhelming!
I'll make sure to pass your feedback along to the team so they're aware of the issue.
To avoid this, I recommend using your mouse or touchpad/trackpad to click on the play button of the videos individually. That way, you can enjoy them one by one without any trouble.
If you're still experiencing this issue, or if it's happening with just one video on the page, let me know which ones are giving you trouble so I can look into it further.
Again, I'm really sorry for the trouble. If there's anything else I can do to help, just let me know!
Thanks for the response.
Easier said than done... I know how to avoid it, the problem is that I have spent well over a decade using space to pause/unpause videos (and I suspect many other users have, too). It's entirely subconscious at this point which makes it very difficult to change.
Additionally, when there is only one video per page then everything works out fine and I use space bar as I always do. But when there is more than one video it causes problems. No one scrolls down on every page to check if there is more than one video to see if they should(n't) use space bar. By allowing space bar to work for pages w/ only 1 video, you are training people to continue to use space bar to subconsciously (un)pause.
If you aren't going to simply fix the issue then spacebar should be disabled altogether as a function to pause/unpause. That way everyone knows: gotta use the mouse. Instead of this logic game to figure out if you can use space and then having the use of the space bar become a reinforced behavior b/c it does actually work some of the time. Except when it doesn't. Terrible middle-of-the-road dilemma.
When reviewing sections that have more than one video per page (such as here: https://classic.7sage.com/lsat_explanations/lsat-33-section-4-game-1/), if you press space it will pause the video on top and then play the video on the bottom at the same time... This is one of the most annoying things I have ever come across and drives me absolutely insane.
Is there a way to press space and have it simply pause/unpause the video YOU ARE WATCHING, rather than BOTH videos (even when you never interacted with the second video)?
Struggling to keep the language PG b/c this is pissing me off so bad.

@ Yes, you can find the sample essays starting at this link: https://classic.7sage.com/lesson/lsat-writing-beer-brewer-1/.
Is there a finite number of writing prompts that LSAC cycles through? Or are new writing prompts always being released by LSAC?
