I think the keyword is created "in order to" express feeling. So creating something is necessary here if you wanna say that he was expressing feelings and therefore would be false. Since in the AC, it doesn't say anything about him creating anything, and he's just believing it, it's not necessarily false.
I still feel there's a contradiction in E. In the sentence, it says "most great chorale preludes written for the organ" so it actually does specify that this is a subset of preludes that were great AND written for the organ.
So if that's the case, his explanation doesn't make sense so to me as in his large pie that is mostly written for the organ, he couldn't make a subset of great preludes that isn't written for the organ. It seems that ALL great preludes HAVE to be written for the organ in the way the first sentence reads.
