I need some guidance please

Hey everyone,

I've been searching forums for quiet some time but I am now asking for help. I just started my LSAT studies this past week. I have purchased 7sage Ultimate along with the Powerscore Bibles the LSAT Trainer and damn near every single PT. I originally started with the LSAT trainer but switched over to 7sage as I am a better learner if its visual (JY videos). I took a diagnostic around Christmas and scored a 138. Bad...I know.....I was pretty discouraged. I am currently wrapping up my undergrad this semester. I have to balance classes with LSAT studying which isn't to bad, but I need to get in a better routine. I'm planning on studying 12-14 hours a week up until I graduate in May then around 30-40 hours a week from graduation till I take it (July) which is around 9ish weeks. My goal is to score at least a 160. If I don't hit it then I will retake in September. I am currently going through the CC on 7sage. Do you recommend supplementing it with another one of my books or just sticking it out with that? I am really just trying to get the fundamentals down at this point as my diagnostic reflects that. I struggled the most with LG and LR. I have a 3.52 GPA and don't consider myself dumb. It typically just takes longer for me to grasp concepts/not the best standardized test taker. Is there any advice out there? I am pretty desperate at this point. I can get some pretty bad anxiety and get down when things don't click. I know it just takes time and its a learnable test. I know I have the motivation but some of the work problems in the syllabus on 7sage don't make a ton of sense. It's been my dream to attend law school.

Thanks everyone!

Where to go from here

I just took another timed test since going through the fundamentals and got a 147. Although it’s not great, I’ve improved from a 136. Where to go from here? I’ve used 7Sage for the games section. Games and LR were both my weakest sections. I am registered for the July test. I’m looking to score in the high 150’s-low 160’s. I would love a 160. I will also be taking the fall scheduled tests as well. Any tips would be greatly appreciated to reach this goal!

How bad is January LSAT?

I plan on taking the October and November LSAT's. I hope to hit my goal on these tests as I am PTing right around there. However, if I wanted to take it one more time in January (worst case scenario), how much of a disadvantage would I be at? I am not shooting for T-14's. The schools I talked to said they take the January LSAT and encourage you to apply by March 1st. If I have competitive numbers for the schools, would I still be at a disadvantage? For context the test is mid Jan and we wouldn't get our scores till like the 1st week in Feb.

Depends, if your numbers are solid with the schools you apply to after the Jan Lsat, they will make room for you.

Need some advice

I have been pting around a 155/156 for the last few weeks. My goal is a 157+ and I am taking it in October and November.

My breakdown from yesterday:

LR: 14/25

LR: 19/26

LG: 21/23

RC: 14/26

So at this point I am trying to close the gap on my LR sections and bring up RC. I typically struggle with SA questions and flaw. If I could get that RC score up and close the gap in LR I would be golden. Any tips on how to get those scores up and stay consistent? I have gone through the CC and I typically drill weak spots, do timed sections, and about one 5 section PT a week. I would love to be PTing at a 160 so I can have some wiggle room come test day.

Thanks so much!

RC Help/Tips

Can anyone give me their best tips on how to do well on RC? It is constantly the one section that is dragging me down. Some days I can go -5 and others it is -10+. It is super frustrating. I am planning on taking the LSAT in January one last time. I typically read each paragraph and make short 3-4 word summaries on scratch paper. I try to piece it together and analyze the structure. I honestly sometimes just don't understand some of the passages. I struggle more so with the law passages and science. I am Pting between a 159-163. My LR and LG have improved a ton. Goal is a 157+ on test day.

Thanks!
