You can also use the Study Buddy tool on the 7sage site. Select 'Discussion' menu option at the top of 7sage website. Under discussion select 'Study Buddy' to pull up the main page for study buddies. You can send a message blast to people locally, or across the country, and you can filter for similar score types, etc.

I received an LG study guide from one of the 7Sage teachers, and it included the technique quoted below for reducing average LG question time.

This technique helped me to reduce my average LG question time by over 40% within a 4 week period:

"By far the most important LG drill. The student should do a game, or set of games, timed and write down their score & time. Then, they should review it and take it again after watching the video explanation, and write down their score & time, and then repeating until its perfect. The next day, they should do it again and write down their score, repeating it until its perfect. After a week, they should do it again and write down the score & time, repeating it until its perfect. This game, or set of games, is now mastered and this exact process should be repeated with a new LG game, or set of LG games, using same method as before, and completing all the steps listed until this new game or set of games is mastered."

Hope this is helpful for you; good luck on April LSAT.

Cheers

James

Context is the superfluous information provided by the author to situate you before they deliver their argument. Contextual information is background information or another persons argument the author is providing to us in order to situate or frame their argument. In other words, the context is the 'extra' information provided in addition to the authors argument.

Premise indicators are the series words whose role in the English language is to indicate supporting structure. When we see the premise indicator we should be looking right before it or right after it for a premise of the argument.

Premise Indicators which are usually followed by the premise(s):

given that

seeing that

for the reason that

owing to

as indicated by

after all

on the grounds that

Premise Indicators which are usually followed by the premise(s), but also contain the conclusion in the same sentence:

for

since

because>

Hi,

What is the difference between premise indicator vs. context? The way I understood was that context are just additional info to lead up to the premise.

So clicking outside of the active PT window is the 'pause' button so to speak?

Why not have an actual pause button so it's simple and straightforward how to pause during a PT?

I found it the answer sitting right in front of my face so please disregard my question

So many variables at play, but off the top, what are the question types you're having the most issues with in the LR section? have you been focusing your study time and drills on the question types that are your weaknesses? just studying for the LR section as a whole without this targeted approach is huge. As you mentioned, having a skipping plan of attack, question type plan of attack, going into your PT is critical so you're not 'going off the cuff' when you PT and eventually take live test, is critical as well. What are your variations in actual PT score versus BR scores for the LR sections?

Focused study and focused drilling on the question types that consistently cause you the most issues in the LR section is my first step suggestion. Best of luck

I feel that everyone struggles with this anxiety you describe, to some degree, as it's human nature to do so.

I think you need to have a new perspective going into your PTs. You need to embrace the PT. PT is a wonderful tool that's going to help you improve, again and again, while you're traveling towards your goal on your LSAT journey.

You should be looking at PT as a valuable tool that is going to help you even further hone and focus your study and practice areas you're needing to focus on. After your first PT you will now know for sure which sections and questions types need improvement, and which areas are your strengths, which will need much less.

After your targeted studying and practicing on your areas of weakness, that you learned from your first PT, weeks later you get to take PT 2 and check out where you've improved and where you need more work.

PTs should be embraced as a powerful tool you utilize on your journey to LSAST success.

Best of luck.

OP, I see you received mixed feedback in the responses to your questions, so let me see if I can provide some clarity to your decision making process on whether to declare this incident or not.

Suspension for vaping from middle school seems harmless and inconsequential I think most would agree. I'm sure that 99% of all law schools wont ever see this suspension, and I'm almost certain that it probably wont be asked about.

That's NOT the REAL question that you should be thinking about however.

I'm not sure where you plan to practice law, but when you submit your letter of intent to practice law in texas it will go to the texas board of law examiners and there will be much more thorough and extensive review of your background then the law schools perform.

That is still NOT the real question that you should be thinking about however.

The REAL question you should be thinking about is a bit deeper, and much more consequential.

Do you keep your word impeccable? Can judges, prosecutors, lawyers, jurors, family and friends trust that when you say something its the 100% truth without any exception?

I had lunch with the chief assistant district attorney in montgomery texas the other week. We had a discussion about the two types of lawyers that he deals with on a daily basis, and was speaking to me about what was important in this realm.

He explained there are the lawyers who will say almost anything and do almost anything to get the best outcome for their clients. This starts off in small increments, with perhaps leaving something out in a response to a question, and then over time this builds and the lies become larger and grander. Not only do these lawyers become known within the courtroom workgroup they typically do business with on a daily basis, but he explained that over time their integrity, morality and soul becomes corrupted and corroded.

The other type of lawyer is the one who keeps their word impeccable. They are known for honesty, integrity and as someone the courtroom workgroup (Judge, DA, Lawyers, Clerks, etc..) can do honest dealings and fair negotiations with on a daily basis. The prior may get small victories upfront for their clients but in time this will decline as they earn a bad reputation as being untrustworthy. Over time the lawyer that keeps their word impeccable will achieve much more success for their clients, and keep their integrity, morality and word intact and impeccable.

You get to choose today when you answer this question which one of the two types of lawyers you will be moving forward.

Cheers

You should consider applying to your choices for law school prior to taking your lsat test.

By submitting your application, references and statement letter to the school before you take your lsat test you can in essence “get in line early” with the schools admission office. The actual admissions review decision won’t take place until your lsat score is received by the school.

Also, you’re showing the admissions team that you’re carefully planning ahead, and contrary to the appearance of applying “late” you’re actually considerate, strategic and well organized as evidenced by your strategic early application to the school, even though your lsat score is not yet available.

@ Can you clarify please: will the study group breakouts allow for participants to utilize outside PT scores to adjust their PT scores utilized in determining the groups to which they're assigned? Or will you be grouped with similar PT scoring participants, regardless of any other outside PT scores achieved?

Confirm action

Are you sure?
