Whoops, just to clarify.. Yes, I indeed meant that Games and LR can be improved the most. With Games having the most potential for improvement as pointed out by J.Y in the beginning of the RC section. Good luck all!
I'm right there with everyone. We have two more weeks, with focus those 150's can easily be changed. If games is a weak point focus there, or logical reasoning as this is where most people can improve more drastically. Good luck all!
Katherine, I'm in the DC area and really appreciate this info! I just joined and hope to take the test in February. I have to say, the material/presentation on the site as well as the community does make this course second to none!
Again, thank you so much or sharing!
You'll do fine! Good luck and congrats in advance!
Rob and Cloy,
I definitely agree. Thinking about it with a good GPA, work experience and relevant letters (not from friends or random people) I wouldn't want to set foot in a school that focused on such a bogus factor. So Cloy, where are you in the process now?
Rob,
I am struggling with this too. I graduated my program with a pretty strong GPA, but my MBA program was online. Honestly, to say that I am freaking out over having no academic LOR prospects would be an understatement. Have you heard anything regarding whether a lack of academic LOR's is really that hurtful or not?
Thanks and good luck to you.
Oh and also, as someone in your boat, my recommendations would be:
1. Ask your business partner for a letter
2. Are there any companies that you work directly with on a consistent basis? Any legal partners? I would ask a colleague who has an important work relationship with you to write a recommendation as well. If your company is doing particularly well your partner can speak to your strengths/dependability if it is doing well and how you contributed, etc.
TTS... Agree! Child's play!
No no no!! I made the mistake of buying Powerscore before I found 7sage. it took me a while to unlearn the craziness I had learned in their logic games bible.
After a week with your course, I was 'owning' games in 5 mins! Except the circular games which I just wasn't seeing a lot of then. So I gambled and strengthened my skill in sequencing and grouping. Totally my fault. In no way do I think 7sage and Powerscore can be 'lumped' together! This course is 10x better than those books/methods!
JY, I second that. Totally not your fault. This is a type of game I didn't see a lot of and it wasn't heavily covered in Powerscore either therefore I did NOT place the weight maybe I should have ....
It just stinks to have something come up that you had no reason to believe it would! This course made it so I didn't not leave in tears :)
Thank you! I need luck, prayers and blessings! ;)
It was my last section too and I kept telling myself that it was the experiment since circle games has been largely missing in the last couple years. Sadly, I remember reading that do they randomly pop up here and there and thought, 'it'll be on mine" UGH! I will say there was a question on my other LG section that had me scratching my head. It just felt a little underwhelming, I was hoping to feel more confident afterwards. Now 3/5/14 can't come quick enough!
I agree with you, Jose. I'm praying for low 160's, praying.
Oh no.... it must have been real then :-O
And Max, I agree. I am trying to be very vague, but still.
Which section Max?
LMBO!! The circular will definitely ensure that I will have a flashback every time I walk into a restaurant, cafeteria, or maybe even a break room at work. I was feeling pretty defeated after I left. The first game through me for a loop with the 'Office' question. Yikes.
Ah well. I hope we all did better than we think we did, or as well as we think we did! Cheers!
Hi Marryam_k,
I am in the same boat. Everything I read suggests to relax, I intend to still run through some of the newer games, and a brief high level review and then relax for the rest of the day. I am interested to see if doing so has really 'hurt' anyone. Or at least if they feel it did.
JY, you are amazing. I cannot express how much this course and the wealth of information (along with the humor) has made preparing for this beast of a test enjoyable. I can literally hear your voice in my head criticizing each crazy choice, "who cares?!", now if I can just get my speed up, and differentiate between SA and NA questions, I'll be good to go. We got this February 2014 test takers!
BTW LSAT island is the best stinking screen name because that's exactly where I feel like I am. Sadly, I like it.
