Advice on Studying for full time worker

Hey guys,

Some advice would be appreciated on how to approach studying for this test. I would like to take the July LSAT 2020 although I work a very hectic schedule due to a pretty demanding job in big law. Any advice as to what works and/or worked for you is greatly appreciated.

thanks!

Dear All,

I would like to know if someone can describe to me how they Blind Review and/or what are the steps they take when going over an LSAT Preptest. I just want to make sure that I am doing it correctly. Many Thanks!

Hey thanks for your post! I have started going over materials but nothing serious yet. I have considered taking it in June 2016 but I also am thinking about applying to Law school for the fall of 2016 (part-time) programs. Therefore, December is the deadline if I want to go that route. I'm going to take a diagnostic soon and will have a better idea on where I am, etc. thanks again!

Working Full Time & studying

Hey everyone,

I'm trying to write for the December LSAT while working full-time. I currently am working in "big-law" and the hours are crazy at times. I'm seeking advice on how to juggle job, girlfriend, and life basically... I know essentially its up to me on how to handle all this but I would greatly appreciate to hear from people who happen to be dealing with a busy schedule and are trying to shot for the 165-170 range.

Best of luck!

Personally, it's up to you BUT you should take the LSAT when you have maximized your full potential. Easier said than done, but the opinion of others shouldn't factor what you decide. This is your life and you should do things at your own pace. Law school will always be there and if pushing it back a cycle helps you get to your goal score then take that route. I am in my 30's and work full time and have decided to go to school in 2023 (grant it, I'm not taking the same conventional approach and have decided to apply to evening programs in order to help with costs). Not to sound cliché but great things take time. There's no need to rush it, if you are taking the time to put in the necessary work. I work in big law (one of the top firms in the world) and there are various ways to become a lawyer. Don't let others cloud your judgement as there is no blue print on how one ought to navigate life. We all have our own path to walk, provided that you actually put in the time/work.

Dear All,

I need some advice. I currently work in Big Law and I am struggling to find the time to study for this test. I am taking the February LSAT and would still like to go to school for the Fall of 2017. With that being said, I have rescheduled my exam twice due to my workload. Any advice on how one manages their time efficiently would be greatly appreciated. I really would like to go to Georgetown Law and know that I have a long shot for this admission cycle since most, if not all of the spots, will be already offered. Also, I am struggling with time when taking practice tests. I tend to freeze when I go and do timed sections. Any thoughts on how to handle time for studying and how to practice doing better while timing yourself will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Dear All,

So I've been studying on and off for the past two years and took the February 2018 and did way below than what I expected. I applied and submitted my applications to some of my local law schools but am certain that with the score received I will not be admitted. To summarize, I am not sure whether my approach to studying this test is effective or if it's just a test that I am not able to master?

I work a very demanding job in a big law firm and it's a struggle trying to manage the tasks given to me in addition to studying for this test. I am still contemplating what to do and should I take another crack at this test, I think I will be either shooting for the July or September 2018 test. Any advice as to how to overcome this defeated mindset and suggestions as to how to improve on this test. My goal is to get into the 160s and I am awful at logic games, which people say is the easiest to learn and can't seem to do them under time conditions. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

thanks!
