I think that with your analogy, yes someone could find a fad diet (like going vegan, keto, and the military diet) that would work for them. However, even if someone found a fad diet that fit them it could still ostracize SOME people.

So, if Keto was not working for me I would switch to the military diet and I found it working, but the military diet still has a group of people that it does not work for. From the stimulus, we know that most fad diets prescribe that narrow range of nutrients, and there are people that it might work for, but there are certainly some people for which it doesn't satisfy their dietary needs.

It's not that most people can't find a fad diet that works for them but rather, most fad diets don't work for at least some people.
