Still Waiting =(. Anyone know when the last batch of scores come out?
I think it's anywhere between 25min - 3hrs from when your page goes grey.
I've heard of people getting their scores after they've gone to sleep, so its possible to be plenty after 3 hrs after grey (we're already at 3 hours)
good luck peeps, and gratz to those who score what they wanted(or better)
there are none, LSAC pretty much banned them bc they are lame. CambridgeLSAT sold them as PDF for a while after it happened but their contract or w.e expired somewhat recently leaving paper copies only... as for places that deliver quickly.... not sure
I grabbed his course when it first came available this year but have only got through the initial part (mainly getting you in the right mindset and tips about how you want to go about LS) It definitely seemed solid but it wasn't anything surprising, you can see some of his videos from when he has his 7sage course over on youtube to get a little feel of it. Can't give too much more feedback than that as I haven't gotten too far yet #slacker

am I being silly?
absolutely not... I could not imagine being in your situation but I applaud your determination. Now I dont know how Canadian schools work, but I cant imagine theyre all that different. Schools allow the ability to write about these type of situation and it isnt so they can discriminate and reject you.
I would not write this as a personal statement either. Personal statements are more to describe who you are and not to explain your gpa etc. Personally I would say to write it as a diversity statement and have a separate PS (though if you absolutely cant think of something as a PS I could see this as a PS but you would want to be careful as to not make it come off as an explanation for your gpa and such. Also you said a big part of your situation is that you only recently were diagnosed and are now getting it taken care of and have it under control to an extent so it isnt like you are telling them you have issues that are controlling you and could keep you from finishing, but more explaining you had a rough past.
TL;DR - it shouldnt really matter, do it as a diversity statement rather than PS, they have no reason to hold it against you for explaining why you previously did poorly but have things more under control now
hmm, im interested in giving it a shot I suppose, I'm not totally sure with how itll be as in what there is to do that will actually be helpful but im down to see if we can figure something out
shouldnt really have a problem, not like they pat you down but if you're really worried you could just put um in a sandwich, no one will ever know
Hello, I've been looking into joining 7sage and just finished the free trial and debating on going ahead and purchasing premium. The main reason I'm looking into this is to see approaches for the different question types and the break-downs of the questions which I enjoyed from the free videos. My issue is I know a huge chunk of the price is for the actual PT's and such which I already have. I have pretty much all of the previous PT's except a few (none of which comes with any of the packages) so what I was wondering if there's any sort of discount for this type of situation since I already have pdf's of all these PT's and spent a bunch of money for them. (I know the lower level memberships exclude later PT's but I assume that means it excludes the explanations for them as well which, again, is part of why I'm interested(plus want the longer membership)) Any sort of like provide receipt = discount? :)

yeah I got most my apps in mid Dec bc I was lazy and the app for the school I'll be attending in like late January. But do what will work best for you. There is no rush to go straight into LS. If you can afford to take the LSAT in Sept/Dec without hurting your grades or too much of your college/senior experience, go for it. If you do well and get where you want to be and decide to hold off a year to just work then you have so much less to worry about, but gives you the chance to see how this cycle will go for you. If you're talking about pushing the test back and trying for a last minute app then I wouldn't suggest that as u may miss out on some solid offers.
@ Did it take them this long to get you that decision ??
nah it's been a bit

note-I didn't see a previous thread on this, but please merge if there already is one.
went to go bump my thread, saw this, came to yell at you, but you acknowledged your wrong doing so I suppose it is okay :P
WL'd at vandy tho dont expect to go, admission or not
Hey, curious as to what will be going on with 7sage with these changes... @"Dillon A. Wright" @"J.Y. Ping"

well Notre Dame is official for me, deposited the other day... soooo is it August yet?
@ no school is worth sticker with the exception of maybe Yale
this... do not go to any school for sticker unless you are wealthy and it doesnt matter. If NYU or bust, you are prob better with bust than sticker (could retake, not sure about the whole 4takes outlook and stuff so you could/should look into that) But as stated elsewhere you should def get solid money at other T14 (which you should have blanketed) Dont think you NEED NYU/CLS in order to work in NYC. Many T14 can get you there and many of those schools you can get good money even without a retake/score increase (though if you havent applied this might mean waiting another year, even without a retake)
Know that even at a solid school, a great outcome with $$$ is never guaranteed. And even with a 160k starting salary, working in NYC is going to knock that down quick after taxes hit it so dont think that you'd be starting with a 160k and living the life.
This is all besides the point bc you want to do PI which means much less money and plan on relying on an LRAP program. So I would go look at T14 schools and their LRAP programs, their NY placement (if set on NYC) and their PI placement.
http://www.lstscorereports.com/schools/nyu/2014/ is a great site to use to compare some stats
Proctors: Didn't seem to know all that much except for the main proctor who was in-charge of the tests within the whole building (3 rooms I think) other than that there wasn't a problem with them. They were nice and didn't distract us.
Facilities: Much better than expected (cant judge a school's facility based off its rank) place was super clean, very roomy and had some cool tech (has nothing to do with test but each seat had a mic on the desk to ensure the whole class can hear)
What kind of room: Stadium seating lecture hall. Very large but the back had a bunch of seats with no desks
How many in the room: 75-100
Desks: Large desks broken up into three sections per row (like a movie theater) with people spaced every other chair. All the room you need to get set up and be comfortable. No issues at all
Left-handed accommodation: desks were large along with spaced seating should have caused no extra accommodations to be needed (I'm righty so...)
Noise levels: fine, normal coughing/sneezing
Parking: NYC so you have to deal with parking buildings. I took public transit.
Note: there is NOWHERE to safely leave a bag, so if you are going here, DO NOT bring anything you are not supposed to have. There were multiple people frantically looking for a place to leave their bags (eventually left them all with a doorman, I assume they didn't have a problem getting them back but no idea)
Time elapsed from arrival to test: fairly quick, 20-30 minutes from listed start time (maybe less)
Irregularities or mishaps: again, most of the proctors clearly weren't trained so we had a couple of minutes in between sections (IIRC the proctors walked around to make sure you weren't still writing/in a different section) Threw me off at first but had plenty of time to re-coop, I enjoyed the extra time to clear my head and prep for the following section.
Other comments: Nice place, would be top choice of mine if retaking and lived closer (getting there was not a problem from LI, LIRR to Penn and a quick subway ride brought me maybe 5 blocks from school) I just registered for the test pretty late. I would definitely recommend it to those nearby or even on LI (if Hofstra is unavailable-NOTE: Touro is open to replace Hofstra for June, so it may be better than travelling to NYC but not sure how the facilities/testing conditions are there)
Would you take the test here again? Yep, as said above, if Hofstra is not available I would make the trek
feel free to post or message any questions
Proctors: No issues, they knew what they were supposed to do and weren't unprofessional
Facilities: Law Building - Everything was clean, wasn't over crowded while waiting to go to the rooms and the bathrooms were clean.
What kind of room: Lecture Room
How many in the room: From last Feb so dont remember but probably around 60?
Desks: 3 sections of long desks (think movie theater) with people seated every other chair allowing for plenty of room for your test booklet, answer sheet and pencil army.
Left-handed accommodation: As stated above it was long desks with spaced seating so (while not left-handed personally) I'd imagine there were no issues
Noise levels: Standard test taking noise level... some coughing/sneezing but no unexpected disturbances really. I think there may have been a AC issue that made a little noise every once in awhile but not something that would be a consistent issue nor was it super noticeable
Parking: adequate, I found a spot pretty quickly and close to doors. I could see having a issue if you aren't too early but looked like there was plenty of parking a min or two walk away
Time elapsed from arrival to test: Got there a little early but compared to listed start time we started maybe 20-30 minutes later
Irregularities or mishaps: One kid had special accommodations (don't know specifics) but made sure no one had a problem with him being in room (no one did) and sat in the top row alone and didn't cause any issues. Other than that went fine.
Other comments: Was definitely a great place to test (assuming other rooms had similar experiences) I had no issues, everything went smoothly and we had nothing that may have affected anyone's testing. Had all the room I could want and more to get comfortable with my testing area. I would most definitely recommend Hofstra as a TC to those in the area.
Would you take the test here again? Yep, I tried but they don't administer June tests so couldn't take it there my second go :/
Feel free to message/post any questions regarding the facility and such
@ if you aren't 100% ok living in Lousiana the rest of your career, don't go to Tulane. Not to say it would be impossible to move somewhere else, but you will have a big uphill battle.
this
They should give you an extension, though some schools extend 2 weeks, some 3 days so might not make a difference. But if the acceptance/scholly letter says something about being binding then look into it but most schools at most make you withdraw any acceptances you currently have (not WL) so no there shouldnt be any repercussions except potentially losing out on a deposit but just read over the acceptance and scholarship letters to make sure they say nothing about withdrawing or acceptance being binding
@ Check the invite again. Check the time zone.
guh, come on yo, EST is the only important time zone, should use that as the base time :D :P
soooooooo email saying organization is today, but kickoff is tm... does that mean we are figuring out what we are doing and then actually starting whatev we decided to do tm?
Rankings are being leaked bit by bit, so far Spivey has the top 50 up on his Blog

welllllllllll people June is over and time to partay.... woot woot
@ I don't think anyone has any business going to law school unless you want to be a lawyer. The benefits outside of the legal field are middling at best and can readily be gained in other careers/fields and for less of an initial investment.
this...
While TLS is not too well regarded here I suggest y'all and any1 else unsure of what they want to read through this thread. Granted it is mainly about NYC associates but theres a lot of other posters that through their thoughts in aswell

Normally you want to try and keep a resume to about a page I believe and only expand it further if you have things that definitely deserve adding. If you have that much I would try checking out a few different formats and that. But if you truly have things worth adding and it doesnt fit then go for more, but I would look into having someone in the business(spivey/peg cheng/etc.) check it out and offer their advice
@ Just got $90,000 from Northwestern right off the bat
my buddy got that too, similar-ish stats I think, between there and UVA atm
I'd say personal pref, if you have a desktop too you can take that into consideration but most schools are compatible with both mac & windows so it doesnt make too much of a difference but I would just check take a quick look. most schools have it posted somewhere about their tech stuff. Laptop wise im a big mac fan, like it way more than my previous 2 laptops (Asus and HP) but I also have a desktop my buddies built which is great. So if you want to shell out the $ on a Mac but are hesitant I probably wouldnt worry about it too much

would these numbers be weighted much differently
no, def not "much differently" it may make a little difference if one is Harvard and another is some no-name school that barely qualifies. But realistically its not something you should worry about
@ Indiana University
youll be a few hours south of me
So where does it look like everyone will be come August? Granted there is still some time before things become totally official but most of us should have a decent idea by now.
So far it is looking like Notre Dame for me, though it's not official yet
And this is a forum that is for paid memberships only so anything you post should only be able to be seen by other members... correct @ ?
lol what did you go through and move some threads over into the LSA subforum?
Well it is almost time for February takers to step up and jump into the actual test. This is the last week so be sure to remember that while prepping, this isn't the time to make up for slacking last week or to "finish strong" with 3 PT's and intensive drilling. Get you normal prep in, take one or 2(I wouldn't do 1 after Wed imo) more PT's (I personally would throw in a retake) and take a day off. As much as one would feel this is not the time to take a day off... it is. You don't wanna go hard up until D-day and then not have that zing to kill it on Saturday. Pick between Thursday and Friday, take one completely off, and the other some light work (maybe section of each w/ review) Think of sports, you don't see athletes train as hard as they can up until game day, they Taper into it
Good Luck everyone!
good luck to everyone who took in Dec
Thought I'd let y'all know (mainly cuz watching is fun) there is word that today may be the day... GREY DAY.

only a very few schools actually use the average... so if you are interested in coming to school in the US (and possibly working... not sure how transitioning back to Canada after US law school works) it wont hurt to apply, just going to cost ya a bit of $
my next ideal place to go would either be Penn or Duke
if this is the case you aren't too far off so I would entertain a retake, but I wouldn't sign up for Sept... I would prob give yourself another week or so b4 you dive back in and see how it goes. If you see some serious improvement and can still register than go for it, otherwise keep going and shoot for Dec(or plan for Dec and spread it out a lot more and really focus on trouble areas) its hard when you don't have much materials left that hasn't been touched multiple times. You already got a year b4 school so might as well not rush into another take (I'd say shoot for Sept def if you scored well below avg but not the case here)
