If we change A to : similar to the relationship between the skeleton of lions and tigers, extinct predatory animals have all virtually indistinguishable skeletons. Would this be a correct answer?

How do you know which people have similar scores? Do we need to submit our score of the PT45 Section 1 before the event?

Q28 The quotation is used to initiated the explanation of why spiritualism is a wrong interpretation of Luminist paintings.

Having this understanding in mind helped me to get rid of A, B, and C and I was down to D and E.

I chose D at the end because I misread it as "explain why people view spiritualism as a characteristic of Luminist". People view spiritualism as a characteristic of Luminist because of the coincidence of the development of Luminism and that of spiritualism. But D is not saying that! D is saying that the quotation is used to explain why this coincidence happened.

I found E being discouraging at first because the rest of the paragraph 3 does not talk about why spiritualism is a wrong interpretation of Luminist. It is paragraph 4 rather than paragraph 3 which illustrate the wrong interpretation of Luminist. Paragraph 3 is more like a set up for the argument in paragraph 4. But what I failed to realize is that the role a quotation plays in a passage has nothing to do with the function of the paragraph in which it locates.
