Ok posting here because I couldn't figure it out in BR or after watching the video multiple times (and reading the comments).

I'm failing to see just how swimming figures into the argument. It's stated that F is used to Swim. But what does exactly mean or look like in lawgic? Is F a sufficient or necessary condition for Swimming? How can you tell the way it's phrased in the stimulus?

My map is this. Let me know if I messed it up.

P: Bacteria use F to Swim

P: F requires MP

C: Ancestor that had /MP had /SA

I can see that one NA is that /F -> /SA

But swimming?

Albert is a great tutor: he not only explains why the answer is correct in an understandable way but also shows you how to get there so that you'll be prepared for future similar questions. He teaches you the tips, tricks, and methods to approach basic and tough questions on LR and RC. He can empathize with your average LSAT student's struggles because he was once there. Albert will push you and help you to succeed. I'm glad to have found him and I recommend anyone who has recently plateaued to talk with him. Thanks, @!

JYs explanation of D doesn't really explain clearly why it's wrong. Did he say it's irrelevant to the conclusion? If so, how so?

Free tutoring

Hello everyone - I'm looking for people who might be interested in some free LR LG RC tutoring.

I'm consistently scoring in the high 160s and low 170's and hoping that tutoring will help me perform better on the actual test.

Please PM if you're interested!!

These questions are such time sinks. What is the best way to approach this type of longer, complicated MBT question?

P: Even if we knew all physical aspects, you cannot fully comprehend.

C: Therefore, to fully comprehend, you must know nonphysical aspects.

/NonPhy -> /FC

--------------------

FC -> NonPhy

Is this more or less the flaw? Using what it concludes as a premise, just in contrapositive form?

P: Most IHVC are easy to use and likely to satisfy wood and tile floors

C: If limited to cleaning small areas of uncarpeted floors, then IHVC likely sufficient

Looking for P -> C (in this case something that connects one of the two variables in premise to the SC or negated NC in conclusion)

- After reading carefully, it's clear that you have to make sure that “uncarpeted” is referring to “wood and tile." Bridge that assumption. (A) says that the only floors relevant to most are carpet, wood, and tile. That’s sufficient.

End of the section and juggled between C and D but didn't catch D says "two different programs." Although, I didn't think much of the "two different computers" since that wouldn't be an incorrect way to describe a computer and a faster one...

Confirm action

Are you sure?
