Tyanique136, jlarue, arigriff00!

Thanks for your replies:)

I don't think I can meet up with more than two buddies, considering my daily/weekly schedule(I prefer 1 on 1 study)

But I think you guys could definitely message each other figure out a group study session together! Good luck with your studies!

Mariamxd! I messaged you just now:) As I included in the text, I will be doing one on one study just for the sake of efficiency and scheduling issue! (so possibly with multiple buddies) Let me know if 1:1 study would be fine with you!

(RC) Looking for a study buddy

Hi, I wanted to reach out to other 7sagers to see if anyone would be interested in studying RC with me.

I have been studying for the test about 10months, and I would like to have more routinely discussion based study sessions for specifically RC.

Here are some suggestions on how I would like to have the sessions.

  • at least twice a week / EST 9pm~(1.5hrs~2hrs)
  • one or two passages a session, fully discussion based (google meet)
  • we take the passages timed, blind review them once, and come to the study without checking the right answers
  • pre-analyzing structure/low-resolution summery/roles wouldn't be necessary, but we will definitely discuss
  • I would like to do more of earlier PTs, partly because they are hard and I want to save later ones:)
  • Here are some info about me

  • taking the June test, applying this fall(23-24 cycle)
  • currently averaging 159-163
  • staying in Korea right now
  • Please let me know if you are interested!

    Good luck with your studying!

I feel very much the same as you do. I have been studying for 8months now and my first exam in April is just around the corner. I don't feel like improving and my scores are fluctuating, getting nowhere near where my goal is. I 100% can relate to you. I think even loggin-in 7sage and posting this was a good step! Just want to say you are not alone:)

I recently started taking live classes by Raphael, especially basic classes(especially LR-question type class). They are 1hour each and honestly it has been helping immensely in reenergizing my study motivation thanks to following reasons.

Get to feel the positive sort of affirmation "oh I know this, but so good to reinforce my logic mechanism"

Can easily spend 3hours a day by participating 3 classes so I feel good.

If you haven't tried, just give it a shot. My plan is trying to be very committed to his class

for 3 more months(my last test would be June). It is always good to have the feeling of being with your peers. And I guess Zoom does provide that feelings very effectively these days:)

I always tell myself "Just at least show up." I think showing up is probably more than 50% of the job. Good luck!

    In explaining B, JY says

*"If you can solve the problem, it doesn't mean

all of the problems can't be fomulated."*

For me it didn't really resonate with me, so I

tried to dissect the passage in more detail.

Please help me in which part I put myself in wrong direction!

My conclusion coming from the demonstration below is this:

B is wrong because it says ANY. "MOST" would have made it a right answer

Here is a possible scenario to demonstrate my understanding.

Let's say for scientists there are *100 possible problems that

can be called upon to solve.*

Since scientists have astounding success rate with

    solving them, let's say 70/100.

Out of the 100, 60 is the ones that are selectee by scientists.

(so, 40 is the ones chosen by the others including politicians or Biz leaders)

*X group: Solved problem out of total Chosen by Scientist:

    40solved/60total

Y group: Solved problem out of total Chosen by the others:

    30solved/40total

(40+30=70. I hope you are still following it!)

Then, the writer says those 40 chosen by the others are treated with

scientists' formulation to make it solved.

At this point, I don't know if *X group's problems have

anything to do with formulation by scientists.

But from the last sentence, I see out of the total 100 problems called upon,

most of them are not subject to such formulation.

So I know from here that some of *X group problems are also subject to

such formulation when it is to be attempted to solve by scientists.

(Because if not, the max #of formulation-able is 40, then the last sentence wouldn't make sence)

Therefore, most(50<) of the problems called upon to solve assigned to scientists

are subject to such formulation. (even those chosen by scietists)

So possible scnererio is as below.

*X group: Solved problem out of total Chosen by Scientist:

    40solved/60total

    35: formulation-able & solved

    5: formulation-unable & solved

    15: formulation-able & notsolved

    5: formulation-unable & notsolved

Y group: Solved problem out of total Chosen by the others: 30/40

    25: formulation-able & solved

    5: formulation-unable & solved

    7: formulation-able & notsolved

    3: formulation-unable & notsolved

    :total formulation-able 82

    :total formulation-unable 18 (=almost never)

    :solvable but formulation-unable 10

(B said "ANY" but there can be some

    exception)

So why B can't be the right choice is simply because it says "Any."

If it had said "Most," I think it could have been the right answer.

    If the AC D said

"SOME people who have pets feel happier because they have pets,"

would the AC be wrong? or still right? (Instead of MOST)

I thought through this, and the revised version would also be right because

it still indicates there is a apparent causal relationship..

    Please help!
