I really have to work on shortening my timing, but getting all of the questions correct makes me feel like I'm on the right track--just have to be correct faster lol

I'm also taking the September test, and I've opted to do 2 timed sections (1 LR and 1 RC) every other day with a review of any wrong answers on the days in between.

I'm hoping that it's enough to not burn myself out, but I'll still be able to keep myself sharp.

I'm also curious to hear what others are doing or have done in the past leading up to their exam date...

I'm in the same boat, and I'm choosing to take the September test anyway. I just felt like it would help me to get the initial jitters out of my system from taking the test for real for the first time.

I'm also registered for the November test, so taking the September one is pretty low stakes/low stress for me. I also was approved for a fee waiver, so it doesn't hurt me financially to take both.

I don't buy that law schools judge you for how many times you take the LSAT, as long as you get a little better each time. It sounds ridiculous to me to think they'd care because if the expectation really was to do well on your one and only try, why would LSAC allow you to take it multiple times in your lifetime?

Regardless of your decision, good luck!

Gaslighting works for RC

The biggest piece of advice that I've gotten from countless videos regarding RC, is that you have to pretend like you're interested in the RC passages to do well. I didn't understand why I wasn't doing well because I was highlighting and taking notes, so how could I not understand the passage? But when I got down to answering the questions, I was getting a majority of them wrong. It was extremely discouraging, to say the least.

As soon as I started gaslighting myself into giving a damn about the topics discussed in RC, I started seeing improvement. No highlighting things I think are important, no taking notes that I won't even go back to--just pretending like a topic, that I genuinely do not care about, is something super interesting.

The amount of times I think to myself: "wow, that's cool." "oh, I never knew that, how interesting." is the biggest reason why I'm having to refer to the passages less when answering questions.

Engage with the passage, I promise it'll pay off.
