I think you'll still sign up for your own time slot at any time during the day since the exam is still administered online (I think that sign up usually opens up around 2 weeks before the exam).

Wrong Answer Journal Help

I created a wrong answer journal and I don't think I'm getting as much out of it as I should be and could use some guidance. I put down what the question type is, why I got the question wrong, and what I'll do differently next time but my answers are pretty basic: "didn't read carefully", "second guessed myself", "made excuses for the answer choice I picked". If someone could explain on how to go more in depth that would be great, thank you!

From what I gathered from random podcasts and webinars is that you should mention why law but don't center your personal statement around it. It sounds like you are on the right track with writing how your skills are transferable to law school and maybe just add a sentence or two explaining why law, why now. I found this 7Sage post of example personal statements really helpful: https://classic.7sage.com/six-law-school-personal-statements-that-got-into-harvard/#essay-3-populism

Re-do my Writing Sample?

I took the LSAT back in September 2017 and completed a writing sample then, so it's four years old. I am taking the LSAT again this October, is it worth it to re-do the writing sample?

Take 4 so you can stimulate real test day. I'm a few weeks away from my test so what I have been doing is taking the tests on lawhub then imputing my answers in 7Sage flex. The only issue with that is that you will only practice with LR as experimental

I haven't been keeping up with the percentile changes but do we see a big difference in those between regular tests and LSAT Flex?

@ What are the big changes reddit is talking about? Would they change it as soon as June? Feels very unfair to give us so little time :(

It's been a few years since I graduated and I want to reach out to my professors for recommendation letters and I was wondering if anyone has any good email templates for people who have been out of school for a while. I would love to schedule a chat with them mostly because I want to touch base with them, let them know what I've been up to since graduating, and feel like that's done better over a call instead of email. However, I want to come off sensitive of their time and make sure they know I am doing this in hopes of receiving a rec letter. When I go to write the email I feel awkward because I don't even know if they remember me. One already agreed to write me a rec letter a few years ago but I have no idea if he remembers. Any tips would be appreciated!

#help I watched the 'some' and 'most' lesson recently and tried to figure this question out using that logic. Can someone explain to me how you could use that to figure out this question? Or am I completely off with that thinking? Thank you in advance!

CV for Applicants who Completed Undergrad

Hi everyone- I'm working on creating my CV for my application and I was wondering if we should still put down extra curricular activities if we've been out of school for a while. I participated in two clubs while I was in undergrad but I graduated 4 years ago. I also currently volunteer- should I be including that? Not sure how important extra curricular activities are compared to my professional experience especially since I've been out of school for a bit. Thank you!

Hello! First off- take a deep breath, this is a big progress and it's awesome that you even took a diagnostic test. When I started this process for the second time I didn't take a full test for about two months because I was terrified. Second- if there is anything I learned during this process it's that you don't really define your studying timeline. The LSAT is hard and for most of us it takes a while to master these skills. I started studying in January and thought I could take the April exam but I'm currently signed up for October. I took the LSAT once when I was in undergrad (back in 2017) and I studied for about two months. I got lucky and scored in the 150s but now I realize just how long it takes to break high 160s/ low 170s. I'm at a point in my life where I can take the time to really study and stick with this. That wasn't the case when I was in undergrad. Ask yourself how much time you are willing to and can commit to studying. I grew up in an immigrant household so can also relate to the parent pressure. At the end of the day it is your life and your family won't fully understand the LSAT like you do and ultimately you need to decide what you can really handle right now. If you have any questions please reach out and best of luck! Whatever you decide you've got this!

Free Tutoring for 155 and below [Closed]

Hi everyone! I’m offering free tutoring for those scoring below 155. I am taking the October test and would love to hone my understanding of a few concepts and think the best way to do that would be through tutoring.

I’ve tutored other subjects but never LSAT material so I'll be very upfront if I cannot help. I'm ok with LR but really thrive with LG and RC. I managed to raise my RC score substantially with a unique technique so if you're interested in learning that please reach out.

Send me a DM if you're interested- thank you!

Looking for a Study Buddy

Hello! I'm currently looking for a study buddy mostly for accountability purposes but also to go over some key concepts. My scores range between the mid 150s/ low 160s but my goal is 170. Hoping to be ready for the exam by summer. Please message me if you're interested!

I hear you- I have bad test anxiety and it started to spike this week for me too. A few things that help me is meditating- I struggle with falling asleep at night so I try to meditate every evening. I also try to stretch every morning. I limit my caffeine intake to one coffee a day because I get a little jittery after. I'm also taking the day off before the exam to decompress so I go into the exam with a clear mind. And remind yourself that you studied and prepared for this exam. You've got this! At the end of the day the LSAT is just an exam and whatever happens you will be ok. This exam does not define you (I have to remind myself of this constantly). I also try to remind myself that showing up and taking the exam is amazing of itself. You should be proud of yourself for even showing up and doing this. And remember to breathe- stopping for 10 seconds and breathing works wonders. Wishing you the best for your exam, you've got this!

Getting Room Ready for LSAT

Hi everyone- I'm preparing for the October LSAT and was wondering how I should get my room ready for the exam. I know there shouldn't be any electronics but I also have a bookcase filled with pictures and books. Should I clear that? What else should I make sure isn't in my room? Thank you!

Two Jobs on CV?

I'm currently working two jobs- one directly related to law as a research assistant and one as a contact tracer. Should I include both jobs on my CV for my law school applications? I will definitely put my research work and while I consider my contact tracing work relevant since I am working with my community (something I want to continue to do after I receive my law degree) I'm not sure how that would look to admissions. Thank you!
