Does anyone have any tricks for getting this one correct with zero understanding of science? I skipped it and honestly would happily skip it again on the actual LSAT. I'm probably distracted by the science jargon but didn't want to waste time parsing it out. Is there a cookie cutter format under the jargon that I missed?

I only got this one right by process of elimination. Once I eliminated the other choices, I figured A would agree with the social capital idea and I could imagine B would be opposed, since it emphasizes respecting the individual. Not as complete an explanation, but it's how I got to the right answer under time pressure! Hope it helps!
I understood it as cooks use different spices to make thing spicy. Once it's spicy, you can't tell which "spicy" ingredient makes it spicy. So you could have used any of them.
AC A matches because it says fish use different pigments to see and no particular pigment is required. So they can use one of many pigments just like cooks can use one of many spicy ingredients.
I am taking the LSAT for the first time in August. Do I have to complete my writing sample before the exam or do I have a few days after to complete it? I saw in June you were able to complete the writing after you complete the LSAT but just want to make sure I don't miss my window! I'd rather not waste time on that until after I've finished the LSAT.
