So to clarify, this lottery in particular instead of a raffle lottery the chances are based on the raffle the lottery given by the stimulus is because it is based on picking the same numbers. so it wouldn't matter how many people play. so here if you are playing a million people or 3 people. The same 5 numbers of the lottery must be selected otherwise there is no winner

How do we know when it is crucial to draw out the stimulus? Are there any other flaw questions like this that I can practice, which will require me to draw out the stimulus? #help

Q type- Match the flaw.

Stimulus flaw- premise states x inaccurate , conclusion any reproduction of x / your reproduction of x is inaccurate.

A. x inaccurate, reproduction inaccurate. George said false things so the recording or reproduction of it cannot be good.

b. no premise/ conclusion whatsoever. it is just all a statement.

c. premise - if something is similar conclusion they must have the same color or be similar in the exact same way.

d. premise- x imitates y, x is different from y. conclusion - x can't imitate y well. flaw here- due to there different imitation isn't possible. flaw here pertains to imitation, for it to be the same as the S. the flaw in the stimulus would be the imitation of something is wrong because that this is different.

e. FLaw here - we are saying the second novel must be enthralling because the first received a prize. to receive that prize it could have been the most boring least enthralling thing ever but was just written remarkably well.

Question- what is the flaw in this argument. I thought sa and Na questions always have a flaw and a missing link as well. this stimulus is without a flaw right?

I didn’t understand A for the longest time. A isn’t it because even though they only asked people at the age of 19 and over, those people would have had to finish middle and elementary school in order to get to high school . Yes, did they exclude anyone younger than 19 who could have dropped out just recently? but is this the flaw of the argument ? Nope it is not . The issue is they didn’t factor in if they had residents who were born before a high school even opened it that area or people who moved there or people who weren’t legally/ otherwise allowed to go to those schools ( segregation, Amish, or whatever else may have had a large pop not go to their schools )

All the dropouts could have enlisted and may not live there or its a place that houses three of the best engineer firms in the country so the pop has an influx of graduates

I did not know what in relation to was referencing or that it meant more than x increased ( more than) y.

I understood in relation to mean y was affecting x but it means x in comparison to y.

I HAD NO IDEA what the question was stating. I thought it was to further destroy the opposition party's argument. How does one even know this is what is being asked? Can someone break down the question so we know what to look for consistently in case questions like this show up occasionally?

Writing out the conclusion here is crucial as I believed that mood → frontal lobe. = the conclusion . when in fact it states the opposite.

c.) is wrong because if the frontal lob is permanent and it causes one's mood. That means when one is happy and a low frontal lob it remains the same and if one is sad it still remains the same. implying there is no correlation but also that the conclusion that frontal lob activity causes one's mood is false. AS one's mood fluctuates.
