Hi everyone! Just wanted to share my experience in case it helps anyone out there! To start, I took an official LSAT last august with a goal of 160-162ish. I was hoping to get into some good schools but didn’t have my sight set on any top schools. However, I got a 157 :/ I decided that I felt like I was rushing my applications and with that consideration plus my LSAT score I decided to wait another year to apply. Since then I’ve been grinding out LSAT studying and I am so happy to say that I just got a 172 on my last timed practice test!! (15 point increase!) I think the best advice I can give to someone is DONT RUSH GETTING INTO TO LAW SCHOOL! Law school will still be there next year and if you take a year to prepare yourself, you’ll just end up bettering your chances of getting into the school you want. I have been studying for at least an hour (almost) everyday for the past 6 months but now that I have finally graduated and have more time, it’s been more like 2-3! I take a practice test every other day and the days that I don’t take practice test, I review my test from the day before and also do a few problem sets! I also NEVER do timed problem sets because this is the time that I use to really understand the reasoning in problems and work through them! I will keep everyone posted and you have any questions about the way I’m studying then please reach out!

I was a little confused by question 27 but it was because I didn't fully understand how qualify was defined in the AC.For any who needs it, the definition is "to make less absolute. to add reservations to."
if only I knew what verbosity meant when I was answering this

I’m not sure if you’ve been reading the thread for the August 2021 test, but it’s determined the RC section that counted was the one with a passage on Nigerian languages. People knew this by some having two LR sections or two LG sections and therefore had the RC section that counted. People had them in different order (I had that particular section second) so it’ll just be based on what you were given. Hope this helps!
was that the first RC or second RC section?
This one got me too! After seeing the answer I realized that it's because it shows that similar trends of steep drops in population are happening to other animals. So it strengthens the argument by showing that something (maybe pollution) is causing this but doesn't say that exactly. The other ones don't give any support so A is the AC by using process of elimination.

Omg I'm scoring high 150s/low 160s. How do you do it lol. It's so hard and frustrating and I'm not seeing any progress in the last few weeks besides marginal improvements. Thanks for the time for this post :)
I spent a lot of time scoring the the 158-162 range but I just kept working on problem sets and practice tests until I got better. I usually do a blind review of my tests/practice sets but I also sometimes find it beneficial to just immediately check my scores and then see which ones I got wrong and then find my mistakes! It's different for everyone and you will get there eventually!
Hi everyone,
I've been seeing some discussion posts of people who have been getting burnt out from studying. I am writing this after taking a week long break from studying for the LSAT. I take the LSAT on the 15th of this month and I usually study 6 days and two hours everyday. Ive been doing this pretty much all year and some of last year too. I have finally gotten pretty much to where I want to be. I took the LSAT last august and got a 156 and now I'm scoring in the 170's. Knowing that I've been making good progress, I decided to take a break. Usually, it's quite fun to take the test and know I'm doing well and improving but it was getting to the point where I was about to start dreading studying. Once I was about to hit that point, I knew it was time for a break and let me tell you ... it was much needed. I feel much better about going into the test and I am ready to get my study on for the next two weeks!
For those test takers who are also taking the test this months, let's take a breath and applaud ourselves for all of the hard work we've done in order to get where we are! I wish everyone happy testing and high scores!!
22 got me smh. I definitely thought it was the right answer choice but now I understand that the author's opinion wasn't shown in the passage and saying that something "should" happen would only be a good answer choice IF the author had put their opinion in the passage
