I have heard of people putting down the first deposit while they wait to hear from other schools. Not necessarily ethical to some people, but useful when you are stuck in a tough position.

For LR, I would certainly recommend completing practice sections (after you watch the lessons) to see what question type is your weakest. That way, you can drill those types of questions and watch explanations.
