I'll be the first to say that it's completely normal for your scores to drop in the 70s PTs (not saying that everyone experiences this, but many do, including me.) It's just something to get used to. Definitely take the 70s tests multiple times to get a feel for them - you're not getting worse, the tests are just getting more subtle and, frankly, difficult (see: RC.) Once I took these tests multiple times, I wasn't thrown off by what I saw in the Feb. 2016 exam.

My take - I would postpone until the October test. The reason is that, if you were PTing in the low 160s, you could definitely push yourself to get at least a 165. That would put you into at least the Top 20 schools and give you a better shot at $$$ and admissions. BUT, this is going to take time.

Since your diagnostic was a 138, you're probably going to have to adjust your mindset significantly. This is not impossible, but it will take time. I'd definitely recommend the LSAT Trainer by Mike Kim to help you out with that. The 7sage curriculum is also great, since it goes from basic to more complex/advanced understanding.

After a month or so of studying with the Trainer and/or 7sage, see where you're at. If you don't see improvement, I would hire a private tutor. Yes, it's expensive, but you might need that specialized attention to really hone in on your errors and faulty thought processes.

That's a good point. I still have old tests that I haven't taken (PT 1-29), yet considering that the newer tests are so different, I'm unsure if there's enough predictive value there. Thanks though!

I found it to be very valuable. Believe it or not, you'll still make mistakes on a PT you originally took last week. Interestingly, I found myself getting questions wrong that I answered correctly the first time, and vice versa! It's definitely a good learning experience, and I 100% recommend it for the recent tests (70-77.)

Hey @jhaldy10325't Get Right! Thanks for the feedback. That sounds like a good plan, yet I'm pretty sure my average would increase since I've taken most of the tests before (PT 30-77) and I'm really familiar with them (I've taken those in the 70s numerous times since they were more difficult for me than earlier tests.) So I'm not sure if an average increase would be a reliable indicator :/

I got stuck on this question too! :( I've watched JY's explanation and I'm still stuck - why wouldn't (A) be the correct answer here? I chose (A) because I thought that, if someone else were already shown to have psychic powers, then we wouldn't need to rely on Selena to determine whether psychic powers were possible. I guess that this is a necessary assumption?

Hi @liviamaas635.E.D. - thanks for your feedback! :) Your reasoning actually helped me a lot.

I also figure my prior reasoning is wrong because if a respondent wanted the legislature to be 60% Liberal, then they would want the other 40% to be a different party. In that case, you would have to put that respondent in at least two groups, which would result in an overlap and a whole lot of confusion. There's just too many assumptions in there.
