Did anyone get a loaner tablet from LSAC for their May FLEX test? If so, how was the user experience? And was it easy to navigate and read comfortably?

What's an average GPA? Like the marks someone generally gets rather than outliers?
Speaking of the answer keys, sometimes I've accidentally scrolled over the icon that covers the correct answer choices and wish there was a way to completely hide them so we don't do that by mistake. I don't know if it can be done, though.
Good job staying with it! You deserve a fun celebration.
Hi,
I was looking at the Preview App feature and saved documents in Word, but can reformat if needed, maybe to PDFs, and when I paged through an application, there were some blank pages, I think because the essays would have elapsed onto a new page if they were a little longer. I'll try to reformat later, but does anyone have other strategies that can be used to avoid this? Thanks in advance.
Take more breaks and days off. Attend to your other responsibilities. But work towards a schedule, although keep it flexible or else burnout is likely. And don't rush to a live test date. You can definitely improve. Don't give up.
What website was it on?
The LSAT score is important but it's not everything.
Many applications have a college activities section. Would we just list our college activities even though it wasn't recent? How have people approached this?
What to say when you've been studying for a long time but you're not ready? Thanks in advance for your advice on this. I know it's not a totally new thread. It's something I need to revisit though. Trying to find the right thing to say.
So I didn't apply this cycle and my LORs are in CAS. Has anyone seen a sample email to recommenders on this? Thanks!
Does everything work well on a Kindle? Are there any limitations?
I'm just reusing them and I sent emails to inform the people about it. They were fine with it.
Sometime recently there was an option to sign up for discounted versions of the legal topics courses. The first one was called Real Property or something. Are there any upcoming opportunities to subscribe? If so, what is the cost?
Would someone thinking about October want to trade messages on here on Post-CC work and PTs? I'd really appreciate it.
If they get caught, they may not be able to go to law school, or if they do, they risk being kicked out, or if they don't get kicked out, they risk trouble with the bar, and if they don't get into trouble with the bar, they might have an issue with not providing good representation to clients, in which case they also get in trouble with the bar. Not fun things to have on a person's conscience.
I'd take with an understanding tutor about this, hopefully someone who has personal experience, and know that it happens to a lot of us.
Is it one of a kind? Are their earlier games that reminded you of it? Any drill suggestions? Thanks.
Per Reddit quoting a press release from LSAC, now test scores will be submitted to law schools before the writing sample gets done.
If you want to retake a PT in digital format, can you do this or do you have to just set up problem sets?
When you're mentioning two professors who co-taught a class, would you say professors or Professors followed by their names? Just wondering. Thanks.
@-1, It happened in early afternoon, at least it was around early afternoon for US EST and CDT timezones.
Unless it's one they loaned you through an Assistance Request due to not having the technology.
Anyone having this issue?
A couple questions for our community about LR:
Once you learned the lawgic stuff and the steps for each question type, how did you get better, especially on the more difficult LR questions? Also, for those who began from a place of not being very confident with LR, what made the difference going forward? Thanks for your thoughts on this.
Have more test centers been hotels in recent years? Seems like maybe they used to be at universities more, but I'm not sure. Anyway, if a hotel is a possible venue, any ideas for how to take PTs in the same environment or something very much like it?
Does anyone use library wifi to get this site on a smartphone and spend your study time in a library? What foods and/or drinks do you bring along? Do you feel like you get more done away from home or are you able to stay focused at home?
Maybe thinking about the fact that you're overcoming an obstacle by writing the test and knowing that you have solid scores on the book.
Interesting commentary in the ABA Journal.
The title says it all.
Would be happy to trade drafts, discuss applications, and work towards deadlines with another student. I'm a nontraditional student determined to apply this time around.
No, but I've been studying for several years and I have a huge tab of registered tests I then put off so I've drained a lot of cash on this thing.
I'm sure you'll improve.
Is anyone being mailed a loaner device because of not having the technology for the FLEX test in May? If so, what type of device is it? Thanks!
I'd give them a call on Monday and see what they say. I think you should probably be fine. It looks like their address to me.
If you have some doubts, maybe consider a topic change, or at least ask some people to read it before you submit.
What year(s) was it when you were in these classes? I'd ask an admissions consultant your question for a good professional answer.
Hi,
I'm a nontraditional student in school PT and soon to be working PT who is looking to study with another person with similar commitments for daily communications. Thanks.
There are a good number of test opportunities before January of 2023. Let's hope we're all done before then.
You can get free consults with some admissions specialists if you do a search.
Has anyone seen similar paper--hue--graphite was described, thinness--heard it was sort of like newsprint, and watermark--available for purchase to practice on?
As we move into a new week (sort of hard to believe it's February), I'm looking for another person (or a small group) in the CC phase willing to exchange short messages each day to help each other promote daily work and engagement with the exam. Here's to finishing the CC and moving forward!
Please remember that an LSAT score doesn't in itself say anything about a person's intelligence. Then maybe get a consult with a tutor and see what they recommend. A lot of people have gotten offers from other factors that offset the LSAT score. Don't give up on your dreams.
One thing that helped me with this question was realizing that the evidence did not define how much coffee the extreme insomniacs of whom 90% were heavy coffee drinkers consumed. Then the argument tells us Tom drinks a lot of coffee, but how much coffee is a lot? Granted, this objection is not enough to spell out the main flaw here, but it seems like a discrepancy that is part of the problem. We know very little about Tom or about the study group here. And while we know a little about extreme insomniacs and the tendency to drink large amounts of coffee, like the correct answer says, we don't know how many heavy coffee drinkers are extreme insomniacs--or how prevalent this correlation is. The long and winding world of flaw questions. :)
The last set of PDFs I printed had like an 8 point font, while in the past it was probably a 12 point font and I don't think I changed the settings. @studentservice What are your thoughts? Thanks.
Just throwing this out there--yes, it's definitely true that security measures must be observed and we’re in unusual, emergency circumstances with a pandemic and it's great that there's a remote option now. That said, because the proctoring program already uses video and audio recording--which they save under live real-time observation, is eye-tracking really necessary? It just seems to be a bit much. What if someone’s eyes drift as they ponder a question or they look away to rest their eyes? Will these normal behaviors be flagged? Is there any way students can opt out of some of this? And how will students’ personal information be used? It seems that more transparency is needed. What are your thoughts?
Yes, right there with you--not going to give out my SSN.
