In preparation for the December LSAT I was super unhealthy in the sense that I took 0 breaks and was locked in my room from the morning till midnight, doing one practice test every day. This got me so worked up the day before and I got maybe 3 hours of sleep.

It's safe to assume that I bombed the test haha. This time around I'm being much healthier, taking breaks and instead of doing one test a day I alternate between drills and tests. I also take one day off a week to spend time with my boyfriend/friends/family. What also helps is yoga. I'm taking a couple of yoga classes a week to relax myself and I already see the progress!

Take breaks and get rest everyone!

I agree with Simpaticonx.

I used to be HORRIBLE when I first started timing myself considering I'm not the fastest reader. My suggestion (and this worked very well for me) is to do a few full length tests untimed. Focus on hitting 100% accuracy and then time yourself once you're comfortable with the questions.

Hi!

I took the December LSAT and I'm retaking it in Feb but I've gone through most of the practice tests already (all the recent ones for sure). To study for the Feb LSAT, should I retake the recent PT's that I already took when studying for the December LSAT? Or should I take the older PT's that I haven't taken but aren't as up to date?

Thanks for the help!

This same centre had a snow day on the test day last year and they were able to rewrite it a couple weeks after. Do you think the same could happen in my situation? Or is it a lost cause?

7Sagers!

At my test centre some kid had the audacity to bring his phone into the room (after lying to the proctors) AND further had the audacity to pick it up when it rang...

This happened in the second section and that was RC for me. It sucks because I was feeling good about it in the beginning but then it went downhill after he totally destroyed my rhythm. And to top it off it took him 5-6 minutes to gather his things and left by slamming his desk (classy I know).

The people at my centre were beyond pissed. We are going to call LSAC on Monday and file a complaint. Has anyone ever been in a similar situation? I feel like I got the short end of the stick here :(

Same boat here as well! A friend of mine who is in her second year at law school right now told me that people typically score 10 points below what they score on their timed PT's. She was getting high 160's low 170's and her actual score was 160 (one time writer).

scored below my preference as well but I made REALLY dumb errors...i.e. not reading things properly -_- when I went through it again (blind review method) I scored 10 points higher because I noticed all of my dumb errors. Always remember to read carefully!

Yeah makes sense. Although I like the comparative reading passages more than the single passages. Guess it is different for everyone.

TackyTrackSuit,

That's a very good point, one I did not consider. I did find that in the earlier PT's the LR section included more "abstract" questions and I don't see them as often in the newer ones. This could explain it.

superfuntimes,

Hmmm yeah that is odd. I'm very strong in comparative RC passages though so perhaps for me the newer ones are easier in that respect.

I notice this more so with the LR section though.

I dont know, maybe it's all in my head and I've just been at this too long ha

Are older PTs harder?

Has anyone done the older practice tests (10-40) and compared them with the newer ones (59 +). I found that the older ones are much harder and my score is usually 4-5 points below what I score on the newer ones. Is it just me or do some of you also notice this?

Thanks!
