I was also disappointed with my October score. It was my first time taking the test and I had to do it remotely unfortunately. My dogs were going crazy the whole time, and it was incredibly hard to focus. Hoping to gain 4-7 points on the November test and start applying at the end of November.

What has worked the best for me is relying heavily on drilling and doing a thorough review of questions I miss. I feel as important as it is to understand why an answer is right, it may be more important to understand why the answer you initially selected is wrong. You may be able to see a pattern of wrong answers that share similar characteristics and better be able to avoid them in the future. I scored a 153 in September and am hoping for 160 in November, we got this!

This is a terrible question in every way. Even after all of the explanations, I have a hard time understanding the rationale behind it. We are never told that Drew is pleased by receiving any type of flowers in the first place, so for that reason I eliminated B immediately. Just because he prefers one choice over the other, does not mean that he necessarily is pleased with either option. On first read through my answer choice was A. I figured whether the person knew Drew or not, if they are more likely to send roses right out of the gate, that could explain why he received roses. I did not love any of the answer choices. I think B requires that you take the word prefers as it is presented in the passage to be a synonym for pleased, and I think that is a stretch to say the least.
