I thought it was AC A until I made the assumption that banks were lending to large financially strong companies based off the premises. I understood banks were not lending to small to medium companies, so I assumed because of this they were lending to large companies for whatever reason. But the very first sentence states that the banks pay to borrow is higher than what they would receive for loans from large companies alone. So I didnt chose A because if banks wont lend money with interest rates that are lower than what they would pay to borrow, then they wouldnt be lending to large companies either like I assumed they were. That is where I made my mistake in not choosing A. None of them really made sense to me after that. Anyone else do this?

I specifically did not choose A knowing that a counterexample opposes or contradicts an idea or theory in which this did not. The smoker accepted his premise and conclusion and did not disagree with him at any point. When I read the words "alternative solution" in B, I took it as the smoker is proposing an alternative solution of using another type of health concern other than smoking, not an alternative solution in proposing the politician tax something else other than cigarettes. That's just one way of looking at it. I believe it could also be seen as an analogy since they are in comparison to the same thing. I know this is from an older test so I hope they've fixed this.

A splitter is someone who's gpa and lsat score are split between high and low marks. Like having a low gpa and a high lsat score.

C) Correct. Employees want to do a good job, best way to do this is to give them responsibilities a manger would have, therefore manager is giving up control to fufill that need.

E) "Business works best" Overgeneralization. "Harnessing self-interest" Doesnt mention what their self interest is, says they just want to do a good job. If anything they dont have self interests by not being scared of termination or having incentive through increase pay. "Benefit the company as a whole" just because an employee gives their best performance, does not guarantee the company will benefit as a whole. What if employee's try their hardest and the business is slow?
