I am in panic mode - which I know isn't going to help the situation. I have been scoring in the low-mid 160s for months. I take my second LSAT next week and my last practice test was a 148, lower than the first PT I ever took! I get test anxiety already, so this isn't helping. Has anyone else experienced regression like this?

My problem as well! How do I make myself read faster. Ha
Thank you, all! I think I am going to take tonight off - maybe do a few easy LGs but overall just relax and get my mind right :)
Hey y'all. I am starting to work on applications in addition to studying to retake my test in Jan. I'm a non-traditional student, working 50+ hrs a week so time is not on my side. But I also don't have anyone to go to for questions/advice in the application process. Are there any resources you'd recommend to get through the application process without having a mental breakdown :)
I don't think so! I'm retaking in January and have heard from current students that they've taken it in Jan year of.
@ so what I was advised by the schools I have talked to is to apply as soon as possible and indicate on your apps that you are scheduled to take a future LSAT. I would suggest talking to admissions and asking what their thoughts are. I have set up calls with the schools I've already submitted my apps to and I'm planning on asking if I should take the April test or if I should just try again next cycle. I hope that's helpful!
Hey all -
I thought I had my personal essay nearly ready to go, but yesterday I had a call with an attorney just to chat about the application process, school, etc. and now I'm rethinking the entire thing.
Anyone want to swap?? I'd love to hear some feedback and I am happy to provide some to others looking for it as well!
I'm also wondering this! I always see mixed feedback. I set up meetings with the four schools I have already submitted apps to and am going to discuss my best course of action.
I've been seeing a lot of people talking about canceling the Jan score. I thought you could only cancel 6 days after you test. Is there a way around this?
I believe you can only cancel up to 6 days after the test - maybe that has changed?
Also curious what everyone's plans are - I have reached out to the schools I have already submitted apps for to set up a call and discuss my best course of action and if I should plan on retaking in April.
I hear you. In October I scored a 155, though my PTs were in the mid 160s. They've continued to be in that range and I just scored a 149. I have terrible test anxiety, but I thought for sure I'd be in the high 150s. Defeated doesn't even begin to explain it.
Same. I regressed, like really, really badly. My PTs have been consistently in the mid 160s and my first test I scored a 155.
Thank you for all the words of encouragement! Actually starting the applications has been really helpful now that I can see the actual breakdown - if that makes sense. I also sat through an admissions panel today that gave a lot of great info!
