Scheduling Tip for Remote Testing

Hello everyone! I just scheduled my November 2023 test date through Prometric and had a few little struggles, so I thought I'd share them and hopefully it will help you when signing up for test date.

I signed into my LSAC account about 10 minutes early and immediately clicked on scheduling. Do not wait right until the "allotted" scheduling time opens!!! I was early and still 260 in the queue. When I got through and imputed my desired date to see the available time, I selected one and hit "reserve time slot," but no confirmation text was sent. I found out that there were about 1.5k people in the queue, so it made sense that things were slow, but I started to panic. I decided to just call the Prometric help desk phone number and after a long wait of 20 minutes I was able to talk to someone. They confirmed that it does not look like my selected time was reserved and they helped me schedule my test. They were pretty helpful and quick.

So, basically enter the queue early and when in doubt, call Prometric!

Thank you @ I will definitely try the extra time tip! I've been hesitant to try it because I thought that it might make me get used to the extra time, but maybe you are right

Will redoing LG distort my reluts?

Hi everyone!

I've been working on the LG section and have been doing some of them multiple times. Whenever I redo them after watching the explanation videos my score improves. I have been wondering if redoing LG will distort view of how well I can master the LG section? Does it actually represent how good I am at logic games? I am just scared that the improving scores will give me a false sense of confidence.

Thank you for your help!

Using different study approach

Hello everyone,

I've been studying for the LSAT for a few months now and got to a 157 so far, but it seems like I can't score higher under timed condition. Usually I score a 165 without timing, so I know that I can do it. I thought that maybe I should switch things up and try a different study approach. Can you tell me how you approached studying for the LR and RC sections specifically? I'm hoping that using a different study method will help me.

Thanks for the #help!

Study Method Suggestion

Hello everyone,

I really want to hear about the study method that has helped you the most. I've taken the LSAT twice before and scored a 160 both times. My goal is to improve by at least six more points. Currently, whenever I take an untimed test, I score in the high 160s and low 170s, but on timed tests the score is often times in the low 160s. On test days, I take the test timed, do a blind review and then watch the explanation videos for questions I was unsure of and questions that I got wrong. It is often times difficult for me to sit through the videos and stay focused. I used this method for the last two times that I have studied for the test, and it obviously has not gotten me to the point where I want to be. I would love to hear about how you study for the test or if you have any suggestions! Thank you for your help!!!
