The Assumption negation technique but only use for contenders. otherwise, you are wasting a lot of time.

Make it 8-9 hours and study in three hour blocks. Learn the basics first but then try to do two preptests per week and make sure to look up what blind review and repetition for games are. Reading comprehension is mainly MBT but in longer paragraphs so make sure that the answer completely fits with the stimulus. Tricky answers will make part of the question appealing and make the second part of it wrong. Even one tiny wording or phrase could trap you. Good luck, this should be enough to help you get started

I found the RC pretty challenging and the last LR game. I hope it doesn't mess up my score terribly :(

I'd like to be in this study group if one is being made! My goal is to hit 158-160.

Hi guys,

I'm taking the fourth retake and attempting to take the September 2019 LSAT. My scores are in the low 150 range but I work full time. I still manage to get 2-3 hours in during the morning and I study in the evening for an hour if I'm not feeling burned out. And attempt 8 hours during the weekend (so like 9-5). I am just going through the CC to help with my understanding which is lacking before I start taking more PTs again. I don't want to use them all up. Is this a good approach?

Hi guys,

Sorry I took a break to focus on work - thanks for all the helpful comments :)

Yes passive studying is not working for me and video explanations and group studying at least for going over questions might be useful for me. I took a course through PowerScore and have been watching 7sage videos for help on Logic Games. I spent roughly 8 hours studying a day (I've taken a bit of a break since the Jan LSAT) although I feel like it was hard to focus at the time. But maybe drilling questions I've done again and watching the videos will help for LR and RC because those were arguably my worst sections. I've been mainly using the free techniques offered on the website and studying by myself otherwise. I'm starting up again today so wish me luck.

The pattern is pretty much the same - I get maybe in the low 150's but one time I did get a 157. That could have been sheer luck though.

Scheduled to take September 2019 LSAT - need study group

Hi all,

There are 10 weeks until the September 2019 LSAT. I was super discouraged after getting bumped off the waitlist to my desired school the second time I'm writing it. Since I am overall free this summer, I thought I would take the opportunity to write once more for my fourth time. Is it best to use ULTIMATE or should I go for the basic starter package and take 1-2 PT's a week? Any input would be good!

149 on third LSAT take, give up??

Hi there,

I have been studying for the LSAT for almost about a year (maybe some breaks in between) but I did take three months to study for one take and another few months for my earlier. I haven't seen any improvements in my scores. I've wanted to go to law school for as long as I can remember and I think I've studied really hard despite the shitty outcome. I did have test day jitters on my third attempt seeing that I had a lot of pressure riding on that Jan 2019 LSAT. My GPA is roughly 3.71 and my work/volunteer references are great as well as personal statement. But I know that law school is a numbers game. Lately, I've been having doubts. I got accepted into Leicester and Birmingham in the UK but I know what the risks are roughly so that is a last option for me. Can I improve somehow or should I learn to cut my losses?

You're right...sorry if I was a little vague in my previous post. So I had noticed on the documents submitted (the school basically made a checklist to show candidates which things they have or have not received for the supporting documents). I noticed that my LSAT score was not updated and still showed last year's score. It worried me because I know early decisions go out in Feb and I made sure to hand in by Dec at the latest so I wouldn't fall privy to the waitlist. Which happened to me last year.

1 - Did LSAC send your updated score report to the school?

The law school wasn't able to download the updated score report. I'm not sure if it's the fault of LSAC or the school. LSAC assured me it takes about 24-48 hours to process this request so maybe I can check in a couple of days? Or today to see if LSAC received a request from the school. It worried me when the LSAC Officer told me that they hadn't even received a request from that law school but they had from the other. I had just been on the phone with Law Admissions Officer earlier that day when she was making the request. So I am confused by what is going on.

2 - If so, did your school receive it?

Not yet and this is where I'm stuck. I'm not sure what technical issues are going on or if it's a matter of me waiting.

3 - If so, has your school opened that updated score report and incorporated into your file?

This hasn't been done yet because the school hasn't received the updated score report.

I hope that clarifies things! But yes this problem definitely stressed me out yesterday. But onwards and upwards.

law school not getting my recent LSAT score

Hi there,

I got a decent score on my latest score that allows me to have a good chance in getting to the Canadian law school I'm hoping for. However, for some reason, the Admissions Officer was not able to download a copy of my score report. LSAC insists (after an hour long wait-time) that I get the school to download it because they never got a request. So basically the school can only see my old school and not any of new ones. Has this ever happened to anyone and if so what did you do? The problems that happen to me...

Honestly speaking, I would try doing meditation to help increase self-focus. You probably know more than you think. I was in the exact same situation. Wrote the LSAT 5 times and finally got a decent 150's score that I'm pleased with. This too after 3 years! So here are my suggestions:

I would do one prep test per week and then drill the games (even doing one at a time) to really know what's going on.

I would get some days off or call in sick if you got to the two-three weeks prior to the LSAT. I did this and I jumped by so much.

For RC I would remember to skip the most difficult passage and go back to it. I could have gotten even more points had I done this on the LSAT.

For LG the LSAT knows 7sage is a resource, so admittedly, they might create one game that challenges what we've learned here. nevertheless, I would still place most emphasis here.

Good luck and all the best! This is a tough test but you are even tougher regardless the outcome.

Confirm action

Are you sure?
