I think that the beginning of #4 "no statistical evidence is provided to show" doesn't really matter since it's just the author's idea/commentary on the actual argument, which is the idea that humans act selfishly more often than they act unselfishly. Right now, we are just focusing on the argument, not the author's specific opinion on the argument.
