I'd love to hear opinions on this... especially from top scorers. I'm PT-ing around 165 right now and time is my issue on missing RC and LG Q's. I have been typically reading all 5 answer choices but I've been trending away from that recently. If I've read the stimulus carefully and know what answer I'm looking for, I may just skim for the correct AC and move on. Do you think this is the best approach? Or is it better to eliminate answers and confirm the right choice (get two chances instead of one to get it right)? This may be an area where I just need to figure out the best approach for myself but let me know what you think.

Honestly, starting in the 140's you've probably got some major deficiencies in your logic skills. It took me a couple months to go from a diagnostic of 153 to a 159 and a 3-4 more to get in the mid- to high 160's. So 4-6 months to get safely in the 160's and my diagnostic was a 153. I'd recommend taking your time and really get the foundations down. If you can find a basic logic 101 class offered by a philosophy department I'd recommend that as well. Then probably going through the CC again before PTing a lot.
I live in Colorado Springs and am fairly often in the Littleton/Lakewood area...I am also aiming for a 170. Last two exams have been upper 160's. I'm taking the exam on January 26th, however. So might not be enough time to arrange a meetup. :( If I end up retaking the test I'll let you know.
From 169 on my previous to 159... This pt absolutely anhilated me and gave me a reality check. But glad to at least have the chance to now learn from it.
I had LR RC LR LR LG. My thoughts: Do these sections typically get placed in the same order as other people's? If so, anyone know which one was experimental. Because I had a rough go at the first LR and the 2nd and 3rd seemed to go great. LG was different than normal. No incredibly easy games and no incredibly hard ones. I'd guess I went -3 or -4, a couple lower than my average. I'm not sure why the bank one gave so many people issues though... RC was rough for me but hoping it turns out okay. The comparative passage took me forever at the beginning. Also, should I file a complaint with LSAC regarding my proctor? Someone had the same picture as their ID on their admission ticket and got turned away. They delayed the test 30 minutes so she could go home and make it back. It was close to an hour from taking our seats before instructions began. And they still wouldn't make an exception for taking a pee. If you're going to delay things half an hour for someone who didn't follow instrucitons let me go to the restroom, right?
