Hi there! I'm not applying to NYU but I am applying to other schools that have the Why X statement. I believe I watched a video about in the Admissions section of 7Sage lectures - but short answer: yes! I think that having that statement shows your interest to that specific school. Mention something about their program, a professor that interests you, or something about NYU or New York specifically. You can go to law school anywhere, why do you want to go there?
