Why can we not assume that if an object is Aesthetically Pleasing, it must also have given the impression that the artist succeeded in their attempts?

This doesn't feel like a conditional relationship, so why are we treating it like one?

I loved this question. It highlights how subtle shifts in the English language can be weaponized to skewer my law school dreams..ahhhhhhhh

Side note, can we assume that the word tend or tends to on the LSAT is indicative of a majority. "It tends to rain on Wednesday" = 51% or more of the time it rains on Wednesday?

Ask them to give you a heads up before starting the test! Last time she just started it and kept talking for almost a minute, I asked "wait has the test started and she calms said yup...." After a split second panic mode I asked her to stop talking and all was well.

That only happened once out of two times, but you might as well ask for a heads up cause it can easy set you down a rushed path.

Good Luck, you got this!

could we also knock D off because it focuses on different types of food compared to trying new types of food.

Could we not also critique AC C for focusing on the information rather than how the information is processed. Nowhere was there a comparison between the actual information (binary code and electro-chemical impulses). #help

I actually liked the explanation but to each her own. Would the absence of the word unexpectedly make answer C a contender? I didn't want to make the jump from intrinsic value to quality. I often don't know where to draw the line between a language shift like that. Couldn't something have low quality and yet have intrinsic value?

So is it safe to say that "reinforcing the validity of data" is not something that weakens an argument? I am a bit confused because if we are asked to weaken a conclusion, and there is data that counters that conclusion, wouldn't reinforcing that data help weaken the argument? I think I've tied my mind into a pretzel.. :/

Do it! it has completely changed my relationship to the passages. It may sound counter intuitive but taking that two, three second break to digest the paragraph makes the entire passage much more manageable.

Also, if sometimes you are at a loss of what to write, that's totally ok, in fact I could argue its especially helpful to take that moment of reflection in those paragraphs. It really allows you to take control of the passage rather than passively being dominated by 600 words that have been psychologically engineered to confuse you.

I rarely go back to read what I wrote to be honest, but rather it is a process that frames the entire reading experience on my terms not theirs.

You got this, strategies and thought patterns that feel time consuming and awkward become easier and easier.

You will do great, be proud of everything you've done so far, and focus on the task at hand.

So, just to put this out there. I interpreted answer B to signify that the patients suffering side effects might have had issues with the class of drugs as a whole, thus weakening the need to ban the particular drug. I see why D also weakens it, but just wanted to see if maybe I am going a bit too far with my assumptions.

Thoughts?

What's especially annoying is that detecting an active volcano is not the same as detecting a volcanic eruption.

The inability to detect a volcanic eruption does nothing to weaken the fact that our instruments can detect active volcanoes.

Am I crazy for not being comfortable equating the two?

A volcano can be active and not erupt for years.

Doesn't answer choice D do the same as E? Justine would disagree that if the cost was lower they would go to trial since to her it had nothing to do with cost but the expectation of losing.

Can someone help me with negating conditionals with unless in them? I get so lost. Can we turn "unless" into "even if" and call it a day?

I understand why B is right. Yet wouldn't A provide another reason for why not having armor is better? if it makes you swim faster, then it's not about size but speed.
