how important is LOR?

Have gpa and LSAT above 75th percentile for the schools I’m shooting for and have already had offers. I’m in grad school and professors are dragging with the letters. I have one strong lor from graduate internship ready to go. I am looking for scholarship $. How important is an academic lor? Should I hold out and go forward with the applications now with the one letter? Gpa and LSAT and graduate gpa are all excellent

I think after a few hours a day, studying for the LSAT is pointless. You need to let your brain absorb the material and file it. Go with the long game instead of trying to cram it all in.

Applying with one LOR

The lor is technically academic (from internship). I am waiting on LORs from graduate school professors but they haven’t come in yet. Should I write addendum that states the other letters will be in soon?? I want to apply now.

Well no not technically...my mom went to community college for a few semesters

My personal statement is going to cover the following:

foster care -> drop out in 9th grade - > community college - > work with youth -> graduate college -> social work career -> masters of social work -> law school

Should I also discuss these factors in a diversity statement or will the personal statement be enough???

Im guessing there aren't too many 9th grade drop outs applying to law school.

Suggestions appreciated.

they are looking into it. I took my test at Hynes in Boston and apparently there were MAJOR issues (i.e, it took me 9 hours to get in and out ) but I was able to complete the test. No one has been able to give me a straight answer. I really don't want to have to do this again. I will update.

stupid question

if you literally guessed on every question, and there are 5 answer choices, according to calculator ,your score would be around a 124, not a 120 correct????

So you could pretty much guarantee that the bottom is 124 not 120??

Im not planning on guessing obviously but im just wondering.

in progress graduate transcripts

Are they better to send sooner or later? I plan on applying for fall 2021, and I am about half way thru my graduate program. I have a 3.94 GPA. I know graduate transcripts aren't really weighed much but would rather have them see this number than a lower one.

Suggestions??

Im 35. Im currently in a MSW program that my employer is paying for, however I am seriously considering a career change and decided to try to apply to law school. My undergrad GPA was very high and I scored a 155 on the Nov LSAT. Its not great but its good enough to get close to a free ride at an unranked law school in my area. I have been through this process before, about ten years ago, when i graduated from college. I ended up getting a high paying job and never following through with the applications. Now I am completely burnt out from that career. I hear you. Its ALOT. But, you can do it. One piece at a time. Good luck!

(Very) old LSAT

I took LSAT in 2008ish...there doesn't seem to be a record of it. I created a new account etc. There doesn't seem to be any trace of it that I can find. However im sure it is linked to my SS number somewhere in the ether. Do I need to worry about this at all??

Thanks.
