Have gpa and LSAT above 75th percentile for the schools I’m shooting for and have already had offers. I’m in grad school and professors are dragging with the letters. I have one strong lor from graduate internship ready to go. I am looking for scholarship $. How important is an academic lor? Should I hold out and go forward with the applications now with the one letter? Gpa and LSAT and graduate gpa are all excellent

The lor is technically academic (from internship). I am waiting on LORs from graduate school professors but they haven’t come in yet. Should I write addendum that states the other letters will be in soon?? I want to apply now.
I am still waiting for them to come in because I was planning on applying next year. I received an offer for a full scholarship to NE Law if I was admitted, so I want to get my application in now.
There were hold ups at my exam. We had to get there at 1130. I wasn’t out of the building til 5.
keep it light. Do some games at a coffee shop.
i didnt show both sides of the scrap paper to the camera. the program did not instruct me to. anyone get in trouble for this???
I am not on here as much as I was when I was studying, but feel free to message me!
Im 35. Im currently in a MSW program that my employer is paying for, however I am seriously considering a career change and decided to try to apply to law school. My undergrad GPA was very high and I scored a 155 on the Nov LSAT. Its not great but its good enough to get close to a free ride at an unranked law school in my area. I have been through this process before, about ten years ago, when i graduated from college. I ended up getting a high paying job and never following through with the applications. Now I am completely burnt out from that career. I hear you. Its ALOT. But, you can do it. One piece at a time. Good luck!
Thanks so much. You have definately given me some ideas!!
Well no not technically...my mom went to community college for a few semesters
if writing very unusual circumstances in personal statement- - - do I also need diversity statement?
My personal statement is going to cover the following:
foster care -> drop out in 9th grade - > community college - > work with youth -> graduate college -> social work career -> masters of social work -> law school
Should I also discuss these factors in a diversity statement or will the personal statement be enough???
Im guessing there aren't too many 9th grade drop outs applying to law school.
Suggestions appreciated.
I would read it, if you would be willing to read mine! message me!
kind of unrelated but do soft factors contribute to financial awards at all??
Thanks so much
do you have to pay for CAS before your transcripts are processed???
I got my score today. my score and GPA are well past the 75th percentile for the school im looking at. I will also have a masters degree at the time of application. Im wondering if there is any way to find out how much financial aide these schools are willing to give in relation to score/gpa
that last game really F'd me up. 5 points down the drain.
I got it. 6 point improvement. thanks 7 sage. good enough for where im applying.
anyone know what time scores drop???
they are looking into it. I took my test at Hynes in Boston and apparently there were MAJOR issues (i.e, it took me 9 hours to get in and out ) but I was able to complete the test. No one has been able to give me a straight answer. I really don't want to have to do this again. I will update.
My score was cancelled. I did not agree to this and I haven't been able to get through to anyone on the phone!!
There were problems at my testing center in Boston for the November test. I COMPLETED the test with no issues. How is this possible??? I do not agree to my score being cancelled. Has this happened to anyone else???
I took 15 PTs all in my desired range. Test day was a blur., I have NO CLUE how I did. Are there any stats out there about PTs vs the real thing?? What is the statistical chances one would be WAYYYYYY off their PTs??
@jams61444920 i had one LG. no puzzle with colors. REAL LG; s 3rd, recipe, trip to india.
I think after a few hours a day, studying for the LSAT is pointless. You need to let your brain absorb the material and file it. Go with the long game instead of trying to cram it all in.
