Does anyone know how long they give you to complete bubbling in the name etc section on the answer sheet? Do you guys practice doing that so its fast enough or is there plenty of time?

this is exactly how i feel about logic games. i hate doing them which is why i can't motivate myself to do enough of them...when I read I naturally get curious about the subject matter and structure and it is so fun answering the questions, because they matter. Just as I never understood why anyone cares what 'x' is in math, I do not understand why it matters who goes first in a row of people holding speeches...is it genie or mark? Riveting. not! oh well, onward and upward...i am hoping for a burst of motivation to be able to drill logic games...good luck to everyone!
Thank You! You made my day today :-) you are sweet sweet people!!
you can PM me here...I will read it...last time it took me a while for someone, but i have a bit more time right now so should be quicker...
if you are fluent, then I would bubble in that you are fluent. Not sure if it would affect anything.
i think then you should first answer the question "why law school?" law school case reading is WAY harder than any of the reading comprehension passages. go to the legal information institute at cornell and then start reading material there - or SCOTUS blog helps too if you are absolutely sure you answered "why law school for me?" satisfactorily...
Thanks everyone. I am back after a time-out. Most likely I will keep going and re-take in October. Thanks again for all your encouraging words. It meant a lot to me!! You are an awesome group of people I am proud to be part of.
Thank You so much for all your help. I am still deciding. More than half off at Santa Clara or re-take and apply again next year to better schools. I think that when I defer, it comes with the stipulation that I am foregoing applying to other schools. So I would have to risk them not taking me next year if I want to improve. Toughest choice ever.
I want to thank everyone at 7Sage and especially JY for being here when I found you and believing in me by responding to my questions and then by teaching me an incredible amount in a short time. I had been studying for a year but not able to figure out Logic Games....scores would not be higher than 154...then after a few lessons with you I improved to 163 and I just got my first 167 today. I have a feel for Logical Reasoning now, I did not think possible as well as am improving a lot on Logic Games. I'm far from done but wanted to let you guys know that you are the best and you mean the world to me...I never thought I could reach 25th percentile for my dream school and now I'm there! I'm on my way to make 170 plus a possibility and all because of you. If I get into Stanford, you will be to blame ;-) YOU all ROCK! Miriam
i would purchase the deluxe package here w 7sage and no less. you will only maximize your performance by taking as many PT's as possible after taking, id suggest, the full course they have to offer here. I still cannot believe sometimes how great the explanatory videos are. Before I watched JY and Jonathan explain things I would not have thought such explanations are possible. And they are so funny as well. I will miss 7sage when I move on. greatly. so, since you need more PT's than the 3month package offers I would purchase the biggest package. You will not regret it. I had some booklets already but purchased the PT's again so I could have the explanations...i wish i could watch them forever for a laugh and hope in mankind ;-) Miriam
My favorite moment was remembering all the elements of the last logic game of the December 14 LSATs experimental section, including all the ordering and rules. As if I had taken a picture. However, I could not remember the subject matter at all, which baffled my husband...
Its probably somewhere, but I missed it - can you guys let me know what the Karma number means that seems to be increasing in my case...
7 sage logic videos are simply the best.
Valuable constructive criticism in my mind has nothing to do with being 'chewed out.' It did you a service, right? I definitely learned from the post and know what I need to do to do better. Thanks Jonathan!
yep. trying for t14 for sure. Im geographically bound because i have four kids - live relatively close to stanford and berkeley so will try. If not, santa clara, and then I will just make it great. It really is what you make of it too. Santa Clara has a summer program w the hague, although I would hesitate to get into the ICC mess…
I'm going for the knowledge…then secondly to go into international human rights law, helping NGO's like innocence en danger. I would want to end up in academia as I love legal research and writing.
I felt like giving up SO many times. At least as many times as I felt stupid. Studying for this test is the hardest I have attempted, and I am raising 4 kids, so that says it all…DONT GIVE UP! You can do it! I know it. The most difficult about this test is the mental endurance you need to build up. Its important to be confident enough. And when you have that flight or fight response so unwelcome to us (can't punch the question ;-) then remember to breathe deeply and move on when calm….we can do this, right?
Does anyone know how long the test will take? Adding the sections plus break and including an extra half hour padding brings me to 4 hours, but the lsat admission ticket instructions talk about a length of up to 7 hours...how do I have to understand that? I have somewhere to be...daughter's theater performance at 3 pm...
how important is it to break 160? If it is an existential issue, as in my case (I postponed 5 times because I have not been able to reach my potential partly due to 4 kids in the house), and you are pretty sure you have not reached your potential, that is there is room for improvement, I would postpone. You should really take this once and when you are more than ready.
you can always wait a year to apply. The most important is that you take the test when ready, meaning you have your desired score in multiple PTs prior. The comment that law schools don't go anywhere is correct, and unless you are 50, waiting to apply might pay off.
while i do feel the sentiment I strongly discourage any such fires due to the toxicity of the smoke that will enter your lungs ;-)
what jayswims said...it does not matter what you list on your resume. they get the academic report which includes the grades from all your transcripts...it will show them the major grade separate though. I would not worry about all that. Plus, you never want to try to conceal evidence ;-)
Hi everyone who will take the test tomorrow. I learned something really valuable that I need to share, that, I think, might help you have the cool and collected mindset we will need tomorrow. I was freaking out about not hitting my target score every practice test and sometimes running out of time still. I saw this test as 'succeed and have a great life' or 'don't succeed and have a terrible life in which i feel stupid.' As you can probably tell that approach would have ruined it for me.
Yesterday my 10 year old daughter had an audition for Les Miz and she rocked it. She got called back for Little Cosette and Gavroche. The audition is tomorrow morning while Im sitting taking the LSAT.
There is more to life than your score, and this exam will mean nothing very soon. My daughter getting that callback after we prepared as much as we could will always hold significance in my life and I will never forget yesterday that started with seeing a rainbow on the way to drop her off at school. The rest is history.
I refocused and am now ready for tomorrow. I will always be thankful for my four children who helped me to not overdo the studying and who help me to put things into perspective. Rock the LSAT tomorrow! Hugs and good vibes to you all!
Do as many full timed practice tests as you can. I studied for a while but never took enough of strictly timed sections/full tests and I ended up back w my diagnostic score - it was painful. so make sure you have the timing down.
Hi everyone,
if I get accepted to my safety school and decide to retake the LSAT in June to apply to my reach schools who rejected me, to see if I have a chance, will the safety school still take me a year later when I refused the offered seat the year prior?
Hi everyone.
I am so down because I practiced so hard and I scored nearly my initial diagnostic in the December LSAT. Initial diagnostic was a 154 and my LSAT score is 157. I was practicing at 164 average with 167 top score and blind reviewed in the 170s in the end. I knew i could keep going to get better to solidify but really wanted to get it out of the way since I have been studying 1.5 years on and off. I have 4 kids and I feel if I retake I might end up running out of time again. Taking very few full timed practice tests and finishing sections when I had gotten the kids snacks thinking to myself 'the time it took to pay attention to them I will just add to the end and it comes out as if I had cut off at 35 minutes.' was not working. I know I am t14 material with a 3.96 GPA and the capability to score 168 if I just can hurry up/prepare more focused. I don't know if I will ever have the chance. I don't want to schedule a retake and then just be crushed again. I used to be so bad on logic games and i actually thought the rug game was not that hard, was so proud. I actually only got 7 wrong on Logic Games which is great for me. I would score 165 and get 10 wrong on Logic Games. I am really really sad seeing my chances at Berkeley or Stanford slip away and having to settle for Santa Clara. What should I do?
reading case law summaries provided by cornell's legal information institute might help. my favorite! http://www.law.cornell.edu. I am pretty sure there will be a lot of reading of law passages in law school, so this will help to prep you for that too. Good luck! Miriam
i signed up for santa clara law school - is supposed to be great! Hoping reviews will reflect reality...
phenomenon....
i bubble after each question even w logic games as I am terrified Im messing up the order...
i can do it too- was editor in chief of my school newspaper. fresh eyes always help. miriruchert@.com
