Hello!
I am having some trouble making a schedule for the coming months. I am shooting for the Feb exam but I am still struggling with timing and certain question types. Since there isn’t much time left, do you recommend drilling entire sections, specific question types, or both?
If I should drill sections, should I be utilizing PTs 17 – 34? If so, how should I Incorporate the question bank? Wondering what use that is if I decide to drill sections.
Also, what is the significance of the question bank? How should PTs 1 - 16 be used? I know there was a post somewhere giving details but I can't find it.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Hi guys! I need to ask one or two professors for letters of rec. Yea, I know... been lagging on this front.
I've been out of school since 2010 so I'm not quite sure how to draft a concise email with all of the relevant info they may need to consider writing. I know I should give them a refresher on the courses I took, how it encouraged the law school route and a quick update on my professional life and why I'm still considering law school. Is there anything else to add? Is that even the right route to take?
Anyone care to share an email they sent out with a request?
Thanks in advance!

Can someone explain this with more clarity? I don't get JY's explanation.
Can someone clarify how JY went from "not all skilled artists are famous" - SA some /F to "most skilled artists are famous" - SA -m-> F. I don't understand the jump.
Interested! Thanks!
Are existing users who purchased the Ultimate package going to have the option to upgrade to Ultimate + once it becomes available?
Getting a little frustrated with all of the sudden changes. :/
Can someone explain this question? I don't understand. Help!
Had three LR sections. I specifically remember two questions: writer(?) Poe and two planets (comparing with Jupiter). Were those Qs in the experimental section?
Do the early LR sections (PTs 10 - 20) seem a little more difficult than the sections in the later PTs? I find the language in the stimulus for many questions to be a little convoluted. Is that just me?
I am using the early PTs for drilling but I'm getting more questions wrong per section than for the most recent tests. I really want to write in December and I have limited time to study, so trying to figure out if I should keep going or ditch the early PTs.
Thanks!
@ Thank you!
Thanks! @ Do you think it's best that they send by certified mail?
Hi all!
Quick question: What should your recommender be adding on the RE line of your letter? Is it Name of applicant, LSAC number and type of letter (i.e. for all schools; X school)?
Does anyone know the proper format?
Thanks!
@ Help! I extended too soon! Is it possible to revoke and then request the day before my account is to expire?
Question: How much time do you give yourself to drill/BR between PTs?
I am taking two PTs a week. I try to give myself a few days between each test but I am finding that BR is taking up a lot of time and leaving very little time for drilling. Does this sound right?
I am 9-5er and literally studying whenever I have free time (early mornings, lunch, after work). I feel like my studying schedule is all over the place and will eventually leave me feeling burnt out.
Does anyone have any scheduling suggestions? What works best for you?
For instance, do you only give yourself X amount of time to BR and then move on? Do you BR until you're finished? Do you pick your drilling sets based off what questions you got wrong when PTing? Or do you drill random sets anyway?
I need to schedule my study time wisely as I am aiming to write in October.
Thanks!
Can someone explain why AC B is incorrect?
Hey guys! Looking for some advice....
Ok, I'm in a little bit of a bind regarding the professional LOR I am planning to ask my boss to write. I was hoping to ask next year since I will be applying next cycle. I wanted to be prepared to have a good conversation explaining why I want to go to LS, my LSAT score, future job prospects, etc... but unfortunately I'm finding myself having to do this much sooner.
My boss has been battling cancer BUT has been in great shape for a while. I was confident that I had some time to have the "LOR chat" but I just found out that he's hitting the last stretch of his battle (devastating, I know). I feel like I need to have the chat sooner rather than later. My problem is that I haven't taken the LSAT and I'm still researching law schools. I don't feel as confident going in having the conversation since my guess is that he'll grill me about the LSAT and schools (he's a very well known arbitrator-- he's known to grill with questions). I also don't want to sound insensitive going in asking for the letter.
I guess what I would like to know is how YOU would approach this?
Also, how does LSAC and/or schools look at letters that are written well in advance? Should there be mention of his illness? Not sure how to approach this when applying.
Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Hey guys!
So, I've spent the majority of my study time focusing on LR and LG. I know I need to dive into RC but I'm not really sure how to go about it. I've read others notation strategies and have skimmed question types but I want to know if one is prioritized over the other.
Did you focus on getting your timing and notation right before diving into questions or, did you focus on the questions first?
Not sure how to be the most productive with my time when it comes to RC.
Any tips are greatly appreciated!

Can someone clarify why AC D is correct?
When putting in your BR answers in the analytics, do you only put in the answers for the questions that you circled or do you also put in for the ones that you got wrong but thought you got right?
I re-do the questions that I thought I got right (but got wrong) and I end up getting them right. I am not sure whether that should be recorded in the BR analytics.
Anyone?
Hi guys,
So, I'm over here frustrated trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong. I can't seem to get out of the mid 150's range -- and I have been here for quite some time. My BR has been going up (currently at 165). I drill often but I'm just not seeing results. I only see them when I BR.
I don't want to keep taking tests though I think I should because I am writing in December (and yes I know I should write only when I'm ready but I have made the decision to put this down after February -- been at it for too long).
I want to hit at least a 160 consistently before the December test but I just don't know what to do anymore. :(
Help!
D has to be correct in order for the argument to hold. If it is possible for the characters' moral qualities to change then tragedy and comedy can be classified as satirical or romance literature.
I got the question wrong AGAIN!
A - Don't care about some nocturnal sharks.
B - No, what is the source? We don't know.
C - No, tricky, but do we care about their anxiety? And it's only a possibility that swimmers are dealing with anxiety.
D - No, do swimmers need to be the most knowledgeable? Why should they be?
E - YES, perhaps the number of attacks would be worse at night than during the day. We cannot automatically assume that it will be less.
Hi, I'd be interested. :)
Definitely interested! Thank you!
Thank you everyone!!!
Question: Does LSAC send an email confirming your decision to withdraw? I never received an email and I don't see it listed on my LSAC profile. I want to make sure it was recorded!
Question: What is the difference between the two? What can you get out of the question bank that you cannot get out of the problem sets?
I know the question bank helps distinguish level of difficulty but doesn't the answer section of each problem set also lay it out?
Just trying to figure out the biggest difference between the two.
Does 7Sage offer the older PTs with explanations? I assume they don't, but can someone please confirm?
Is anyone even going through the older PTs? If so, how are you getting through questions that you are stumped on? Is there a site or book that is similar to 7Sage that goes over the older PTs? I'm trying to figure out if it's worth my time to review them.
I should be done with all of the lessons by mid-January and should be PTing twice a week. Ideally, I'd like to do three tests one week, two the next, three the following, etc... 3-2-3-2. I think that might be too much, but if others have tried this, please let me know if it has worked for you. I want to incorporate older PTs with the newer ones.
I plan to take the exam in June and possibly in September (hopefully not :) ). I know it's going to be a tight schedule but I'm 100% ready.
Thanks!
Thanks @ and @! I can see it now.
Can someone explain this question? It's not clicking for me...
Can someone explain why AC A is correct? JY's explanation is not clicking for me.
Hypothetical:
Let's say I apply to LS with the Dec lsat score and get in for this upcoming cycle. Can I still take the LSAT in June and Sept for a better score, decline admission, and reapply for the next cycle?
No extenuating circumstances...only because I received a better score (much better score).
Not sure what the rules are re this.
Anyone?
Hey everyone!
I noticed that a lot of folks are using the Manhattan LR book as an additional study guide. I am wondering if the Manhattan RC and LG books are are also worth purchasing. Thoughts?
Is the consensus that Manhattan Prep is best for LR, Cambridge bundles are good for LR drilling and the Trainer is best for LG and RC?
Are there any additional bundles [worth] purchasing for LG and RC? Would it be Cambridge?
I want to purchase additional material but I'm not sure which books/bundles to get. I am interested in knowing what others experiences have been with these materials.
Thanks!
@ I can't see the image. :(
Can someone pass along the schedule link? I cannot open from my end.
Doesn't AC A fall apart if you negate it? If so, then isn't it NA?
Hey guys,
Question: Is the LSAT Analytics tool only supposed to be used for PTs? If not, could some of you share how you are utilizing the tool?
My guess is that it's only for PTs-- You track your progress and drill your weak areas, right?
I am sure there is an explanation on this site somewhere, just can't find it. :/
Thanks!
Can someone explain why AC A is incorrect?
Does anyone have an attack strategy for these questions? I get bogged down every single time. So irritating!
Does anyone know what the deal is with the watch? Are there only certain types that you can bring in? Does the 180 watch still pass?
