Took the test this morning and my order was RC LG LR. It was decent overall, but a bad RC start definitely threw me off a little bit!!!

LG: Much better than expected - I was really, really scared of a curveball LG (I'm usually -1 max on LG, except when there's a curveball question that totally cripples me I freak out, like 89 game 4 for example, so was really scared of that happening. I had the games with stenciling/ origami + printing/ verifying/ piano/violin. I found the third game to be a bit tough but the others were fine, and the 4th game was really easy for a 4th game. Luckily I had time to brute force for the 3rd game, so fingers crossed for a -0 here!!!

LR: Medium/ Nothing Crazy - LR is usually my best section, but I was pretty fatigued by the end of the test so could have made silly mistakes, we'll see!!

RC: Really rough, I just was nervous and not focused in the beginning but also I do think the passages were a bit harder than usually - I had monopolies/ wolves vs dog. I had to guess a couple on the second passage (I did them out of order) because I ran out of time, which usually doesn't happen to me, so that sucked!! I am hoping I got the others right though.

So overall this test could go either way for me haha but could have been way worse, depends on the curve but I am confident that I can do better a second time even if I hit my goal this time, so will probably take November anyway :)

Good luck everyone!!!

Hey guys! Was wondering if anyone has any advice for how to approach studying for November. So I got a 168 on the August test, which I know is objectively a fantastic score, but my PT average is around 175ish (and my last few scores were 176, 180, and two 179s). I'm pretty happy with my grasp of everything so I think it's about consistency for me.

I don't feel bad about it because I really can't complain about a 95 percentile score and know I worked hard, but also I knew I would most likely have to take it again and my score expectations were pretty low. I was super anxious on the day - I slept horribly and I didn't even have time to properly finish my RC section (which was my first one), and it was super jarring because I've literally never had issues with time on a standardized test + was thrown off by the LSAT flex format, so I'm expecting to do better just without that first time test anxiety now that I'm more familiar with how it goes!

I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions for how I should think about studying these next 5-6 weeks? I'm thinking fewer practice tests (luckily I saved a bunch of tests in the 70s and 80s) and just drilling a little to stay on top of it, and putting extra effort into digesting why my wrong answers were wrong. I also have a pretty demanding full time job and was stressed about a number of things, and had been trying to squeeze LSAT studying in bits in during the day (since I'm working remotely due to COVID right now still) so I want to make sure I try to study when I'm feeling clear headed and have uninterrupted time rather than in bits and pieces while juggling work.

I also need to focus on reading comprehension but its tough to know how to get down to -0/-1 more consistently when you're already doing pretty well.

Any advice? Any inspirational stories of a huge jump from your first to second test?

good luck everyone!!!

for those who had 3 LR passages, did you find the experimental LR more difficult? I honestly can't remember which one question appeared where cause it's all a blur now but I remember one section being more difficult than the other 2. Happened to be my first section too so I'm not sure if it's because I hadn't warmed up sufficiently yet.

I feel like the questions identified as experimental were ones I had trouble with so I'm praying I didn't mess up a real LR section.

Felt the same way as you. I had 3 LR’s, first one being my second section after LG. I felt like it was harder than the other 2 LR’s. I also don’t remember any questions on it but I don’t recognize any of the “real” questions being posted here as part of that first one. So I’m hoping it was the experimental.

Hey guys - thank you all so much for being interested, it's been SO motivating for me to see so many people gunning for 175s who are also going to be studying over the holidays!!! I just made a discord (can make any other type of group chat lmk what you prefer, I just feel like discord is the trendy group chat thing these days) I feel like it would be helpful to find people to BR with you or find people whose problem areas match yours etc. Sending the link to people now with this same comment but if you see this and I didn't message you and you're interested pls just message me!

Hi guys, is anyone interested in being study partners for the Jan LSAT? I took the November LSAT and got a 168 (was PTing a lot higher but oh well I'll try again!). I'm a bit rusty because I haven't studied in a while but am confident I can pull this off in Jan. I'm thinking of doing BR calls/ discussions and sharing strategies and schedules just to stay motivated, because I've been having a hard time getting back into studying and I think this is a really helpful way to stay on track

Also - I'm usually on the east coast but am currently staying with family in Asia right now (and doing the Asia LSAT flex in Jan), but can be flexible with time zones!! My time zone is 10 hours and 30 mins ahead of eastern time

Let me know. Good luck!
