This alarm wake-up light changed my life... https://www.philips.ca/c-p/HF3520_60/wake-up-light ...I was never a morning person but this has made getting up much more enjoyable. Instead of a loud and annoying alarm that causes a sudden spike in your cortisol and a grumpy breakfast, you (almost lol) feel like you're waking up on a beach as it simulates the sunrise.

I'll never go back to a regular alarm.

Also, go workout or something like that man. Don't underestimate the power of getting away from it all and moving around. Sounds simple, and it really is. For most, this material takes a bit of time to "sink in". Most people can't just blow through the material and crush it. I've found that studying for too long melts the brain.

Unfortunately I have to agree with Regis, I've been stuck in the 158-162 range for MONTHS. Very annoying and at times disheartening. I may have the record for consecutive 13/23 scores on the logic games. Knowing WHERE (e.g. question types) your specific weaknesses are is absolutely key to improving. Without that specific information it's very unlikely one can improve.

The more I read from others the more I am convinced of the personal nature of how one performs. As we can see there is no real consensus here. From my personal experience I sometimes find things that are "easy" that others complain about, and vice versa. Also, a person's expectations of how they wish to perform usually alters their evaluation. A 163 can bring about many different reactions among different people even though it is the same exact score.

Probably not a whole lot of consensus. I've heard about people experiencing all 3 situations, and I've also experienced all 3. Generally I can know within a couple of points, and I'm rarely overly surprised. It's probably best to analyze how you've felt personally vs how your scores have come up and compared those afterwards. Over time you can see how good your own intuitions on the matter really were.

I may become an international student, so I would like to be invited into the group as well.

Cheers.

Totally agree with your assessment. I'm not in law school yet but even I feel the same way as you when I hear things like "the LSAT doesn't test anything useful for law school"

Cheers, thanks for the comment.

Scheduling Days off

Hey all,

I bought another course before I bought 7Sage. In that course, the day before the practice/real LSAT was a scheduled off day. I have been using that scheme but have wondered if it really is optimal. I'm gonna go out on a limb and assume there is no single best way, as I'm sure different ways may work for different people.

If anyone would like to share how you schedule your days off, and maybe a little explanation on why that works for you, I would love to hear.

Thanks in advance to all who share.

This may sound odd... but I agree with most of what has been said throughout this thread.

Part of the objective in my message was to not dampen one's spirit heading into the test. Positivity and confidence can be powerful tools for success. Another thing to remember is that not all journeys are the same... just because it took one person 3 months to improve at such a rate, doesn't mean that another can't improve much faster or slower.

There are several issues in evaluating the chance of such a score on test day. Not knowing the precise details of the scores is one. Sure we have the breakdowns by section but even that is not enough detail. Also, which PT was the best score on... if it's PT 85 then there may be something there... if it's PT 40... maybe not so much... Also, how long did it take to get to the current score? There are several other variables that could affect one's score improvements as well.

Having said all that, "165 or bust" is probably not the right attitude given that such a score would be a high end outlier. An adjustment to something along the lines of "I'm really gunning for 165" is a little better and more realistic. Probably the key is to not beat yourself up if you don't reach your goal on this test. Leave open the possibility to hit your target on January 26th.

Lastly, I wasn't making an analogy to KG's NBA career. That would be stupid on so many levels. That video simply has the power to excite and possibly even motivate, so I added it.

Don't listen to MissChandler,

With a lot of hard work, and a bit of luck on test day, almost anything is possible.

Hit those games over and over and over again.

Stay positive!
