If this is my first ever diagnostic exam of the LSAT, should I really do the BR, since I have yet to finish some of the core lessons. I have already started the BR, but I feel it’s not helpful because some questions I am just not sure about. I can’t really do the BR for it if I haven’t even understood the lesson yet.

The way I understood this question is the following:
Premise would be: it was found there was a lot of Ferrous Material and very little carbon dioxide.
The conclusion would be like this:
There is an increase Ferrous Material (FM) ----> leads to Increase in Algae Growth (Also known as diatoms) ---> B/c Algae eats Carbon dioxide therefore there is a decrease in carbon dioxide levels.
answer choice D says:
The sediment sample from the same location reflect no increase in the rate of shells that diatoms (AKA Algae) leave when they die accumulated.
Basically there was no increase in the amount of algae death (diatom shell) found during that same time period in the sediment, so it can mean that the hypothesis where there was an increase is not right.
I hope this helps.
Thank you so much!
